Re: Could you help..?
For me, i'd start with your logo. I guess this may be your well established logo in your head, but in mine as a first time visitor, it's a logo of someone who knocked it up in Word using fancy fonts and migrated it into a JPG for the website. It's not a logo it doesn't have meaning other than the n...

Re: Could you help..?
Cheers so far for the input as I do appreciate it - I am actively changing a lot of things as we speak, so it is going to chop and change a lot in the next couple of weeks and at times probably quite drastically. I have used google webmasters document previously and have been informed that as of thi...

Could you help..?
Hi Guys, I am after something for nothing, well perhaps not nothing because I give up my spare time to create content for this website ;-) I am currently reconstructing the company website and would very much appreciate, if you are so willing, as to some genuine constructive feedback for the company...

Re: 2016 KTM690 What do I need to know!
Also please note, I have assessed the suspension based on shock dyno forces not just riding the bike. No point giving you numbers as they won't mean anything, but there should be a key amount of damping force produced when the forks or shock are put thru very specific tests on a shock dyno and these...

Re: 2016 KTM690 What do I need to know!
The forks are a 20mm internal cartridge design, which are non adjustable externally unless you have the Duke R. I fitted a K-Tech fork piston kit to the stock 'R' WP forks, altered the airgap and sprung the bike firmer. The stock R forks have a narrow range of adjustment and are damped very sparsely...

Re: 2016 KTM690 What do I need to know!
The suspension is dreadful, even for a road bike (I had one for 4 months earlier this year). I fitted myself some K-Tech kit and made some small geometry adjustments for the owner and really enjoyed it as a commuter.

Group Discount for October/November.
Well winter is coming and the year has flown past as my season in BSB draws to an end and the stupidly busy circus ends, I don't even think the missus remembers what I look like I have been away for that long!!! Anyway, here's an offer for you forum members. I will offer a blanket discount of 10% of...

Re: Will This Affect Euro Trackdays?
We arent allowed to test in Spain for BSB anyway this year at least so teams do not need to worry about it. It will be interesting to see what happens as I have read all the info that has been put out there, Focussed events post made it sound simple but until one of their trucks goes rolling thru th...

Re: TRackday prices, they're getting a bit daft now ?
I wrote to MSV in 2019, looking to organise a trackday directly without using a 3rd party TDO. They wanted 21k For Donny Park for the day and would provide all their staff etc, it worked out at something like £150.00 per rider if you filled the groups. Mallory Park would have cost £17.5k for the day...

Re: Portimao 29-31 May 2021. RTTL Extravaganza
I hope you get to go abroad, I watch a couple of TDO posts with interest, more how they publicise and sell them. I have yet to see a TD issue a refund and I know people who have requested refunds since the pandemic kicked in. Focussed events put one up thr other day, they are running their trackday ...

Re: MCN KAWASAKI ZX-10R (2021 - on) Review
As somebody stated, and I see this from the perspective of what I do... Many people dont give 2 hoots how bad or good something is if it looks good. More people waste money on flash tuning and power upgrades or they allow themselves to be sold into something because some vlogger/blogger said it was ...

Re: MCN KAWASAKI ZX-10R (2021 - on) Review
Its a type by MCN, but do you expect anything else from MCN. I cringe at some of their reviews when they get technical..! I was supposed to do an article with one of their guys a couple of years back but the editor decided it was not the 'in thing' at the time even though the journo really wanted to...

Re: My 1999 Yamaha R1
No, the TDM is smiles for miles. Only managed to get 75mm miles on it since the full engine rebuild so far (everything from seals/sheels/rod bearings/pistons and rings/valve lash etc). As stated not 100% stock, but has had suspension upgrades/front brake upgrades and I can throw it around as hard as...

Re: RTTL : Pembrey trackday extravaganza 2021. August 20/21/22.
I live by Pembrey, as in I can walk there from my front door. We used to test our Le Mans Cars there when I worked in the car world, the BTCC guys test alot there also.
I might take the TDM on track ths year for a giggle

Re: Tyre trackday debates. Mmmm
If a Pro rider can lap a stock bike with stock tyres at almost race pace, I really think modern day tyres are nothing short of spectacular. Tyre should come down to what you feel works for you, what sits inside your budget and not what the BSB or WSB are currently using or what some vlogger tells yo...

Re: Suspension
40000 miles will not cause an issue to the springs mechanically, but springs appropriate for your weight is a different thing altogether! Please see the thread in my forum section about why you should not use shocks from other bikes. As for the Racetech calculator it gives some very inacurate result...

My 1999 Yamaha R1
So I work with Race bikes and I work with Suspension so what do I do with my bikes??? I have 2 bikes, the 3rd went after I crashed doing some MX, lol. I have a 1997 Yamaha TDM850. The bike is almost, but not quite stock, and has had a bare frame rebuild which included a full engine rebuild following...

Re: Have Derbyshire police lost the plot?
One thing I will say because I will leave my personal opinion out of this, the photo used in the BBC was staged. At what poit did the BBC get involved and how, and how did it get as far as the 10 O'Clock News. Just watching the news, Police are going being to be instructed they have to fine people a...
