Sure was! I part exchanged it without telling Mrs. She was beyond angry .
The red and white was new from Middleton motors in Potters Bar. We added so many accessories to it, it was a wonder how it actually moved. The kids loved both Dollys.
I still have the original paperwork and owners manual.

Yes. There is a sender on the engine so I just need to work out the specs of the sender or find one that's paired with a gauge that fits.

From a couple of wierdos I know in the citreon club, you aren't alone in the BMW air/oil head engines. Tho both had cooling issues with the bmw engine, which were over come by either modifying the front to have slats? in bonnet or the front to have the heads in the air flow.
Tho both ran the cars as standard as possible initially for shits a giggles as the the more powerful engine made the 2cv in to real sleepers. You would not beleive the negative reaction/anger from being out accelerated by a 2cv. Especially with two idiots laughing.
I also know of a bmw engined 2cv with nitrous. Both fun and fucking scary.

Rebuilt the gearbox with a new selector and oil seals and fitted back to the engine. Engine is sort of in the chassis with the front cross member notched to allow it to fit. Driveshafts rebuilt and fitted. Playing around with making exhaust bends with piecuts because it looked fun to do.
Next job is to get the height of the engine correct and build engine mounts.
Trial fitted the wings to ensure that the engine is in the right place and at the right height. The engine is wide so I'm going to have to adjust the wings to make them fit. I'm obviously super excited about trying to get those exhaust studs out and have already ordered new studs and a helicoil kit.
I've also started to make the engine cradle. I played with the lathe to create some bushes and welded them in to box section to hold one of the engine mounting bolts. I've installed some generic engine mounts into the front cross member and made some plates to sit on top of them to weld the cradle to. There will be plenty of bracing, and I'll pick up another mounting point on the engine (the hole just below the alternator).
I'll see how much this lets the engine rock side to side. I'm reasonably sure it'll be ok, but I have options if this isn't enough. I want to leave enough room to the side to route the exhaust that I need to build next.

I scrapped the engine mounts I made. I wasn’t happy with them so did some destructive testing on them and they were bomb proof. Made some more over the last couple of weekends so pending tidying and painting, the engine mounts are done. I’ll probably be hanging the oil cooler from the engine mount cradle so won’t be painting them yet.

Exhaust next. Bought myself a chop saw with some carbide tipped blades for steel and stainless steel which is making this job a ton easier.
Nothing very exciting this weekend. Something I've not looking forward was to remove the old broken exhaust manifold studs and replace with new. In the event 1 just came out with the bolt rusted to it, 1 came out after I welded a nut to the stud and 3 either snapped when I removed the manifold when I dismantled the bike or snapped when I tried to remove them by welding nuts to the studs. The last one just refused to move or snap, I just got the nut stuck on it after either stripping the threads in the nut or on the stud. The last 4 needed drilling out and helicoiling. No drama happened, it was straight forward and pretty satisfying. Here's some pictures...

Well done for sorting that. Its a known issues on these engines. Usomg the aluslip stuff is, i think, the best solution when reassembling.
