Weird having rockers with bucket and shim valves.

How do the rockers slide? I'm struggling to visualise it as they look bolted in place.

I assume they slide on the shafts with the springs on them (don't confuse the followers with the cams/lobes)

Desmo followers on the aircooled heads slide on the shaft once a clip is removed.

Got you, didn't see the followers, had stupidly thought shim and bucket. Makes sense now, thank you.

Thanks to a superb facebook zxr group I've now got a new zx7r sleeve with adapters and a replacement pivot bolt on the way. Didn't mention the pivot bolt but the threads have been forced at some point and are somewhat damaged.

Looks like whoever did the swing arm bearings last time lubricated them with copperslip!

Were the model designations different for Murkins? That is clearly a ZXR750-K2 but the auctioneers are touting it as a ZX-7R.
