Biggest problem with Kwak carbs is the straight to 4k cold start.

MrsJawa has traded our 1.5 TSi Scala that I had remapped and the DSG mapped too, for a Hyundai Inster.
It's a very odd thing, far too many buttons and electrickery and the manual is like War and Peace
It's nippy enough, but tops out at 80 odd and looks like a toaster crossed with Michael Gove.

Pretty sure it's Belfast/Larne to Cairnryan.
Bike and rider is around £130 return and you can literally see Scotland from Larne.

Maybe splitting hairs, but as a spectator you’re not likely to see a death.
I wouldn’t like to give morbid prospective visitors the wrong idea.
In the Irish races, I've seen one up close and been close enough to others to hear the impact although those races aren't held anymore as the bikes ...

Re: Analogue bikes
Like RB, I think the tech on my oilheads is all I need. I have the older ABS on the GS that works just fine and the servo crap on the RT was binned years ago.
I had to spend a fortune getting the ABS sorted on the K12 as you can't just bin it. My 125 has FI for some daft reason. In India, they have ...

Thank you, all the responses have been very helpful.
I spoke to my mate, he's not a biker but he made some good points regarding the 125. Something I might not have mentioned is I'm a fairly big guy, the wee CBF might have been struggling due to me weighing about the same as a dying star.
The ...

One day someone will invent, and roll out for easy access to all boob carriers that need testing, a test for breast cancer without the need to squish the boobs between two plates whilst someone says "stop whining, it doesn't hurt"
I know there is a better test (believe it's like and ultrasound ...

20mph is ridiculous, other than outside schools for a short distance. Does cruise control even work at that 'speed'? Y'all need to vote in more sensible humans.
Yebbut, over “there”, you’ve got the situation where newly qualified drivers have to spend their first year with R plates on display ...

According to a mate in the car trade, they see lots of wagons with the top end sludged up. It seems especially prevalent among car drivers who piddle about at a maximum of 2k on the tacho. The damn things need a good thrashing at least now and again.
Long intervals between oil changes won't help ...

In Northern Ireland, back during The Troubles, the IRA kneecapped car thieves. And one/some still went out and nicked cars.
Lopping a hand off might limit bike riding, but I'm sure it wouldn't stop them being scrotes some other way :(
Repeat offenders got the six pack. Knees, ankles and elbows ...

IIRC they were built by a guy who built their F1 engines and he got permission to use the Ferrari name. To me they look like a bad AI generated GSXR.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: Sat Apr 04, 2026 9:24 pm If I remember correctly it's got nothing to do with Ferrari

Most importantly, Roman wanted to test a new front suspension concept he’s been developing, a Progressive Upside Down Fork (PUSDF) assembly intended to minimize dive under braking — a system he’s in the process of patenting. There are three patent claims:

First delivery today is addressed to a house as it's the registered address of a steel company five miles away. Boss won't listen so some poor sod is getting a four ton of pallets dropped in his driveway. They should listen to the drivers. New lorry coming tonight and as usual it's poverty spec with ...
