Re: 2024 Forum extravaganza ?

'ello. I've been a little bit tied up with things outside and inside of work and finally feel like I'm getting out of tunnel. I do have the weekend booked off in my calendar still (take a bit of negotiation atm) and have a van I camp in that more often than not has my mtb and paddle board in the bac...

Diagnosis MT'urder - MT09 won't start

Our Transit's down with electrics problems atm (again) so we only have one car (bit of a problem considering where we live) so it seemed like a good excuse to spin the MT-09 up to give me options. But oh no... The battery is fully charged[1] but when I turn the ignition there's a very loud click com...

Stated to dry line the ceiling in our kitchen, it's a bit high (c.3meters) and I struggled to get the board in place, then found this https://skill-builder.uk/plasterboard-ceiling-easy-method which kind of works but is still hard work by myself and likely to end up with something getting broken so I...

Sadly due to medical wisdom we're having to take 2-3 weeks off. He's not in lots of pain but as he's still growing and the bones changing it makes sense to chill a bit and get a bit of strength back in before going racing again. Gutted for him. But arguably the right decision. Sorry to hear that We...

Way beyond my biking skills, but we live 30 mins drive from there it's probably a bit out of your way (Llywngwril) to invite you over for a cuppa this time round but if you go again let me know and we see if we can put you up in one of our cottages.

Some isopropyl alcohol, having issues with the rear brake not working at all, bled them, lightly sanded them but I have the fear that I've contaminated the disk or pads somehow and youtube says burning it off might help...what could possibly go wrong?

Had to pick the van up from the spanner folks on Friday, so I took the E-Bike up in the hills to pick it up.

Not many miles 12 miles, 1,339ft of climb, nice little start to 2023

Re: 2022 RTTL Pembrey trackday extravaganza. Sept 2/3/4

It was a massive shame that others screwed up the Fridays for people, along with numbers on Sat and Sun that are not sustainable for @Alan PBTD and the gang to bother with. If people don't book, this could very easily be the last. I know i've said that before, but the numbers simply don't justify t...

Re: 2022 RTTL Pembrey trackday extravaganza. Sept 2/3/4

I had a great time as always, it was fantastic to catch-up with you all over a few beers. The MT performed alright on track after a collective effort to remove the hero blobs from the pegs! I had the suspension chap on track take a look at the settings which did make a good difference in regards to ...

Where are we all likely to be setting up camp on Friday night? Might be there a little later than others and unless I spot BigYin's red beast is there anything else to use a reference?

Slight topic detail... I've just fitted some R&G ones to mine for next weekend, doesn't look they'll do much good on shorty leavers but maybe I've fitted it wrong?

Re: 2022 RTTL Pembrey trackday extravaganza. Sept 2/3/4

Hey all, do I just need a brake leaver guard or do I need a clutch guard too? Also wondering about back protectors, I've got one I've had for a while (Knox Aegis), just not sure what "Approved" means and whether this fits under that category? I'm bringing my MT-09 along and my wife's ZX6r ...

Have you got a go to place for bike plastics? Zx6r

I've been given the nod to offload the wife's zx6r, really low milage for its age and mechanicals are good. But the fairing has a crack and a few scuffs on the exhaust from an off.

So I'm looking to replace a few bits and see if we can get a few more quid for it.
