Re: What's your all time favourite album ?
Too many, but if someone put a gun to my head and asked me to name them within 5 mins these are the ones that come to mind...
1. Orbital - Insides
2. 2pac - All Eyes on Me
3. Moby - Play
4. FSOL - Lifeforms
5. Infected Mushroom - The Gathering
I'm going to see Orbital again at the Bristol Beacon (Colston Hall) in may which should be good. They have a no standing rule as it is a seated event, good luck to them enforcing that one!

I remember seeing Greenday at Reading festival in 2001, we got quite close to the front and we're ready for a bit of a mosh session with 2 of my mates friends i had not met before getting involved. They were both quite small and once they started playing the crowed surged forward and started going mental and one of them started to get sucked down into the crowd as she was only about 5'2", i did warn her it would go mental but she was well up for it, for about 3 and half minutes, until i had to escourt her out of the mosh pit and onto the sidelines lol!Sunny wrote: ↑Sat Jan 13, 2024 2:06 pmFully agree on Dookie, and Smash is bloody brilliant too - those two lived in my oh-so-modern 5-disc CD changer in the 90sKungFooBob wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2024 8:24 pm What is it with American Idiot?
The best Greenday album is Dookie... followed by Insomniac.
Which on a semi-related note has reminded me what a cracking album Offsprings 'Smash' is.
Just like motorcycles, music from the 1990's is the best.
I'm off to see Greenday this year - 30 years since Dookie and 20 since American Idiot
Good times. Maybe not for her so much!
We got so fucked that night we got lost in the tent area and ended up sleeping on the banks of the park as we missed the last train back to Bristol!

Talking of soundtracks, I recently watch The Continental (John Wick spin off series - Amazon Prime) and particularly enjoyed the soundtrack https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5et73 ... LzaPv6m0kf

Re: What's your all time favourite album ?
Can't do just one. Some of the ones I go back to over and over are probably...
Bowie - Scary monsters
UB40 - Signing off
Alabama 3 - Exile on coldharbour lane
Billy Bragg - Life's a riot
Prefab Sprout - Steve McQueen
Jamie T - Panic prevention
The The - Soul Mining
ELO - Time
Dexys - Don't stand me down
Wedding Present - Take fountain
Bruce Springsteen - Nebraska
Joy Division - Unknown pleasures
I've probably listened to Nebraska more than anything else, maybe. This isn't what I listen to day to day though, it's just the old stuff that's lodged in my brain.

Nebraska is one of the best albums to listen too when driving through the Scottish Highlands at night, especially in bad weather.
I'm another who couldn't do one album, I can't even do one artist. I doubt I could even manage one genre.
