Re: Box Sets, Mini series, films, etc.
Only an hour long, but fuck me. What a powerful documentary: Ukraine: Enemy in the Woods A revealing and moving portrait of lives compromised by war, filmed exclusively by Ukrainian soldiers with extraordinary access to a tightly controlled front line. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001xr50 I ur...

Re: Repairing or reconditioning Rukka
Thank you all - sorry about the late reply been a bit busy. Looks like new kit - some of the seams are working lose. Looks like a decision has to be made to either spend big at Hideout or buy cheaper and accept replacing every 3 years or so... I don't commute year round, so may have to be the latter.

Repairing or reconditioning Rukka
My current set up is wetting through in moderate rain. I've done the tech wash and reproofing thing which hasn't done much. Does anyone know if it can be reconditioned/repaired? Asking in case theres a cheaper option that spending north of a grand for a replacement. Previously had Halvarssons, but a...

Re: High pitch noise while riding Multistrada
Thanks all. I've tried placing my hands around my lid/screen etc while riding but doesn't seem to make a difference. I'll go back to the Arai next week, and failing that try a touring screen. Pity - otherthan it's a lovely bike to ride, with awesome handling.

High pitch noise while riding Multistrada
I've noticed that above 55mph I can hear a high pitched whistling noise while riding the Mullti (950). The only thing I've changed recently has been my lid, which is now a Schuberth E1 - I've taken the peak off etc and it hasn't made a difference. Screen position hasn't made a difference either. Any...

Re: Getting kids into MX
Cheers - managed to get some 2nd stuff like shirt and trousers, have gone new for boots, helmet, gloves and armoured jacket. Yeah - found the MX forums v hit and miss. We're fairly lucky in that we have a couple of options for MX tracks nearby and an enduro practice track about an hour away. Got a g...

Getting kids into MX
A bit quiet in here lately, but I'll here first. So the both my boys love bikes (funny that), and have been to a couple of local MX tracks to spectate. Got the 6yr old an MX lid and goggles from local KTM dealer, but am on the scrounge for a PW50. Any pointers of where to source? They seem to be eit...

Re: Ducati break sales records as 2021 becomes most successful year in company's history
Yup, after swearing I'd never buy a new bike again, I went and contributed to this by buying a 950 MTS. No regrets so far. Lovely handling, and fairly comfortable. Looking forward to the warmer weather.

Re: A right now thread
Wfh day today, but got a shout via the GoodSam app for a cardiac arrest nearby. Turns out I wasn't needed as there was nothing that could be done. Looks like someone is going into Christmas without a father.

Re: Energy bills
My fixed rate ends in a couple of months. Looks like at least doubling. Unfixed is noticeably cheaper - but I suspect that's a mug game, and they'll have your pants down in a flash as soon as you're off contract.

Re: Stealth Omicron
Okay I'll start with the current situation: Most London (and many other large Trusts) have been operating at well above 90% of their capacity for several weeks. Hello "winter pressures" anyone? London Amublance (and again many others) have been operating at REAP 4 (i.e major incident level...

Re: Things to do in London
In keeping with walks theme: From Waterloo cross Westminster bridge past Big Ben, onwards to Green Park, Buckingham Palace and onto Hyde Park. Loads of options around Paddington/Holland Park at the end of the walk for something to eat. Avoid union canal like the plague around ladbroke grove etc - it...

Re: Bike cleaning freaks
My 3 cleaning things are GT-85 Muc-off pink bicycle cleaner Autoglym tar remover. If between the 3 of those it's not coming off, then it's not coming off. Another great one that transforms bikes is 'trim gel' with a soft detailing sponge on all the black plastics, switchgear, hoses, casings etc... ...

Re: Bike cleaning freaks
I bought Sdoc100 once but it's way too harsh on finishes especially, as you say, on polished metal surfaces. I tried the gtecnic orange clear or suchlike stuff but found that a bit ineffective? In the end I reverted to the old faithful paraffin. Most grime from the road is oil-based, and as oil is ...

Bike cleaning freaks
What you using these days to keep your bikes clean/protected? I've been usuing SDoc100 for the last few years, but it seems to discolour exposed metal eventually. I have their maintenance kit with the colour restorer, polish and anti-corrosion spray. I'm not planning on riding in winter, but will mo...

Re: Review Video for Taipan et al
When I was test riding bikes I did a test ride on a Tech Max. While it was "fun", the mirrors were in line with car mirrors. For a grand less I could have bought a Tracer 900GT iirc, and for a grand more a Ducati Multisrada 950.
