Watching the man put new blinds up in the bay windows. The wife is going to be super happy with them. Happy Wife, Happy life!

Bought my FJ1200 well before taking my DAS and all that. Worked out well as I passed first time out. It gives you incentive to pass, you get to clean it and fettle it nicely in anticipation of passing.
Proverbs 17:9
One who forgives an affront fosters friendship, but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend.

As Tiggs (and Bigyin, and Spin) have said, it's really difficult to get test slots at the moment.the_priest wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 9:46 amBought my FJ1200 well before taking my DAS and all that.

Can’t sleep.
So far I’ve bought a sofa and pondering a car!!!
Need to sleep before I buy more things.

Been awake since 4.30am, just finished my bacon banjo and contemplating my second coffee before pottering around the house for a few hours before the hound has his play date with Poppy (border collie) and Hector (German pointer cross). They are all pups and will run and run and run!

Sitting in my room with the window open (much to the consternation of anyone who comes in!) cos the fresh air is lush after the summer of heat and mosquitos!
Trying to decide if it's worth asking for another hot pack when I only have 50 mins before going to the dining room. But it will reduce the need for pain meds, so I guess I should just ask!! (Hate bothering the nurses !)

I couldn’t resist looking it up as I know Smeg still can be pricey.
Ouch.

Ditto, properly made up with the prize. I’ve offered to make some doggy treats in it to be raffled off at Christmas.

At the moment I'm worrying about being flooded! Plumber is trying to free up our seized stop cock and the water board wont be here to turn the water off until this afternoon.

After a lovely meal with pals, I'm now sat outside watching the rain
Nothing special to folk from the UK.
But it's 18 months since it's rained here. So obviously first time since the pergola was built in spring. It's cool sat outside keeping dry
And doubly cool coz the bit that I covered and waterproofed is looking good in the monsoon type rain

Re: A right now thread
Sat on the patio listening to some proper old blues.
Had Planet Rock on for Blues Power and last song was Beer Drinking Woman by Memphis Slim.
I loved the boogie piano playing so googled similar stuff. Woo hoo.
I've rediscovered a world I let go many years ago
By hell, they had fun back in the day
Blown away by Chuck Berry's version and many others

Re: A right now thread
Woken up at 4am by the local characters racing their supercars up and down the road. It still surprises me that there are people over 12yrs old that are impressed by loud exhausts, even if they're expensive Italian ones.
Sat drinking coffee and waiting for the marina cafe to open so I can go and get a bacon butty.
After that I'm sailing far enough offshore so that I can't hear anything at all, then I'm staying there all day, the bread knife wants to do some fishing and I just want some peace and quiet.

Sat in a very cold office, heating is rubbish and it’s a portacabin!!
Waiting for a hire car to get here, just had a call to tell me they will be late!!!
On a good note, one of my team just bought me a Yum Yum from Greggs.
Don’t go out today, it’s cold!!
Mick

Re: A right now thread
I'm trying to recover from the weekend.
Sat we were in the woods for 5-6 hours and Sunday was another 3 hours.
Admittedly it's not all flat out riding and plenty of standing round etc watching the crazy lads. But the riding is intense and hard for me as i'm not terribly skilled at the jumping thing.
So my shoulders, legs, neck, arms etc are all tired.
I've got to now re-tubeless a Hope Pro4 wheel, then finish cleaning both my bike and the boys bike for this week.
