There's been bikes with brake discs on the gearbox output shaft too, ATK IIRC.

And proper lLandrovers has a drum transmission* brake.

The classic Jaguar back axle had inboard discs, did it not? They must have made thousands of those.

Mine (well, it was actually a Daimler Sovereign ) certainly did and that was back in the 1970s.

No...you drop the whole assembly ( or lift the back seat and cut a hole in the floor).
Rover 2000's were similar but easier to service.

Plenty enough of them in BackStreetHeroes over the years - I dunno if they're much use in practice for all the obvious reasons - but then who really uses the rear brake anyway?

RolandSandsDesign, amongst others, do parts, demo'd here on their Softtail Bomber (well you can glimpse it anyway) at about a minute in.



As it's RSD they make it look mega cool with all the lifestyle shenanigans, and in a desert with priddy gurls, and now of course I want all of these beautiful, expensive and really unpractical bikes.
