I'm sure I've read of an American production bike having a combined brake disc and sprocket. American production bike, kind of limits it to Harley or Indian then.

Probably a belt, given KFB's observation?
I feel like I've seen combined brake/pulley setups in industry but I could be imagining that.

There's been bikes with brake discs on the gearbox output shaft too, ATK IIRC.
And proper lLandrovers has a drum transmission* brake.

Belt cog, or pulley, would be too wide.Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Wed Jan 18, 2023 9:27 pmProbably a belt, given KFB's observation?

Re: utterly random picture thread.
The classic Jaguar back axle had inboard discs, did it not? They must have made thousands of those.

Mine (well, it was actually a Daimler Sovereign ) certainly did and that was back in the 1970s.

No...you drop the whole assembly ( or lift the back seat and cut a hole in the floor).Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Thu Jan 19, 2023 8:45 am How do you change the pads? Presumably you get in through those 'windows' in teh black subframe?
