But of course the reason it happened is completely down to the number (13  ) sticker I was given for the bike on that day - she wasn't happy at all when I stuck it on and told me to get it changed to another number, but no, I thought that I knew best, and look where that got me

I have been reminded of this fact more than once since the event... :D

I would have been happy with 13 as both my kids were born on the 13th and my mate Lee Finney who Nobby knows raced with 13 on his GP250 quite a bit and was at the pointy end of the club GP250 field

Well, the garage is getting a bit full and fun though it's been, realistically i'm unlikely to use the RC390 again so I've sorted the (minor) remaining crash damage it sustained at Pembrey, so aside from some slight abrasion to the LH main fairing panel and a lighter LH crash bobbin and case protector, it's all good, and I ran it down for an MOT today so I can get it sold.

I'm not sure if it's now a legal requirement in the MOT, but my local bloke now has some swanky scales and alongside him brake test rollers and now weighs every bike , which for anyone who's interested, this little girl tipped the scales at 143.1 Kg with approx 1/2 a tank of fuel- not bad IMO considering KTM quote a dry weight of 147Kg 8-)

It's going as is with all the mods/ extras (Tyga exhaust , Powertronics custom mapped, quickshifter, rearsets, R6 shock, by-passed ABS etc ) and all the standard parts too- Am guessing it's likely far too sporty for most of you old codgers on here , but if anyone is interested, let me know, I'll do you a great deal :)

Hi Rich, almost certainly out of our price bracket, but out of interest, would you mind pm’ing me the sort of figure you had in mind for it?
A touch worried ‘the boy’ is going to destroy our only means of getting to the IOM. before June.😂

And there it was gone- with a minor tinge of sadness the Orange Royal Enfield has now been safely dropped off to it's new owner- quite fitting really that it has gone to live next door to the proper Royal Enfield that started it all (well, for a day or two, anyway - who can tell beyond that  )
