Take the discs off. Spray the bobbins with WD40.
Then give them a right good twatting with yer biggest 'ammer.
Already done the bobbins, no difference.
I also used a nut and bolt to grab the bobbins tight. Then put head into a drill. The spinning sometimes frees the bobbins.

New discs time.

Fair play to you, I know a lot of people, myself included, who have struggled using track pumps to seat MTB tyres!

I now have the car for winter commuting so the bike is put away for the winter months. A few things to sort out with no modifications that I’d like. The only thing I had considered which I did to the wife’s bike was fit the R6 throttle tube from a 2C0 which reduces the throttle opening from 1/4 turn to 1/6 turn. I’ll only do that if I make a conscious effort to do more track days as it’s fine for road use, it’s fine for track also but would make a slight difference I suppose.

I had to order a scrub front tyre to see me through the rest of the season commuting there as that was pretty much done after that last track day.

A few pics until the next updates………

Cheers for that. My brakes are good as new but can you recommend something to get rid of the headache?

Swapped them for PFM Cast Iron jobbies, with a later 06+ Blade radial MC. I spent a lot on suspension and tuning on that bike, the discs were the modification that made the biggest difference.
What pads did you use with your PFM discs? I've got PFMs on my Falco and the only pads I've used so far are Performance Friction 95 compound, but they're hellish expensive and difficult to get hold of in the UK. I tried some SBS Sinter RS and took them off after less than 100 miles as they were horribly grabby.

PFM say not to use sintered pads with them as they wear the discs out before the pads... except for Bendix ones (which were PFM's no.1 recommendation, but barely lasted a trackday). I ended up using Ferodo Platinum as they're organic and worked really well.

Yeah, I was annoyed with myself for buying the sintered pads. I knew that they tend to wear the discs but bought them anyway. D'uh...

I'll give the Ferodos a whizz when the current ones reach end of life. Cheers.

Don’t want to be a party pooper but not sure I would have that video online. That’s a court case and jail these days…l.

It’s in KPH, Speedo goes to KPH when the battery dies and I’ve never been able to change it since, so not even exceeding the limit, plus it’s been sped up at bits, plus can’t even guarantee it’s me as so many ride the bike and all that jazz 👀

Mind the days of the imports with the 180kph limiters still in place, that’s what the K9 is like 👀
