Re: Trek eBike

I'd go for the 9.8 as it's got better suspension and no faffing charging the gearchange battery. I've got a 9.0 and love it. Either one will be fun, ebikes are great, they let the less than fit ride further for longer plus uphills become as much fun as downhills. Get one or both because, let's face ...

Re: Nostalgia: Chcolate bars

My Dad was an engineer at the Mars factory for a couple of years. He brought home bin bags of Maltesers. My brother and I ate so many that we were ill and took a day off school. I haven't eaten them since, nor a Mars bar or Marathon (Snickers). To this day I don't eat much chocolate and don't crave...

Re: Is Racing Getting Too Expensive?

Dave told me recently that BMW are bringing out a new model which will make the current bikes worth naff all. He wants to do another year, but will be on a lesser bike than some and at end of next year, his bike will be practically worthless. Thats pretty much what happened when it stopped being a ...

Re: Tour de France 2025 - La Plagne

The racing has little to do with the event in terms of watching. Me and @crust have been to the Belgian Spring Classics and it's far more about the atmosphere, the occasion, talking shit with other fans. We didn't care about seeing the action live, you see like 3s, but drinking, eating, laughing 10...

Re: The future of MTB tyres...radial?

I was always a bit 'meh' about tyres and pressures, running mainly nobby nics simply because I didn't know any different. Then I did a wet day in FOD on the eeb Rail with stock bontys and had loads of really sketchy moments, after a particularly sketchy trail and there some discussion with Weeksy an...

Anytime you're moving air through a restriction you'll get some noise. Post a picture of your current vent, I may be able to recommend a better one.

Re: What MTB tyre?

I was kind of 'meh' on mtb tryes until recently, had a nightmare day at FOD which was according to the experts (Weeksy) down to crap tyres, he advised Continental Argotal, front Kryptotal rear. How much!?!?!! A deal was found, tyres fitted, wow, revelation, grip everywhere, seem to be lasting well, ...

No fool like an old fool,eh? Go Crust. 8-) Oi, I resemble that remark  Day didn't start well when I couldn't swing my leg over the bike, not enough movement in the new hip (more stretching required or lower the bike), had to lean it on the house wall to get on.
