If they're M8 thread, get some of the copper plated Top-Lock nuts BMW use on their cars. I use them on the ZRX11, ZX11 & GPz11. They advertise them for BMW 3 series E30's

These are available on mail-order in the UK; costs about £1 per nut (before shipping). They're copper flashed and slightly oval which gives them self-locking and anti-vibratory qualities.

I've bought stainless studs and nuts from racefastners. I have some 'copper' exhaust stud nuts that I'll probably use.

Cut the wings to fit round the new engines cylinder heads. Was nervous about it but it was piss easy. Also had to cut them where the driveshafts go through as the gearbox is further back in the car.

Also spent a very long time figuring out the manifolds. Couldn’t see a sensible way to use the bike manifold so cut it back to the cylinder head stubs and started to mock out new headers using some pie cut templates I 3d printed. Once I have the routing figured out I’ll cut them from stainless and will weld it up. Once that’s done I can measure up for an oil cooler. Loads of room under the bonnet though.

I may have been dreaming this, but aren't pre-bent sections of stainless tube available in standard sizes? I seem to remember they're used quite a lot in the dairy industry.

Or I may have just drunk too much absinthe one night and accepted the visions as reality...

Yes, you can get 90deg 1D radius mandrel bends. If the routing looks like I can make up what I need from them then I’ll use them. If I have to start cutting up those to make smaller pieces then it may be easier just to use pie cuts as I don’t have a band saw to cut mandrel bends accurately. Also the idea of pie cuts seems fun to me.

The BMW motor is all well and good but a bit under powered what you need is a V8.
