Phillip Island...the story so far...

...seems to be biblical deluges and geese invasions.
But apart from that it's all very entertaining.
Hoping bagpuss gains more points than Martin so it goes to the wire

Considering almost all were doing qualifying times the sprint was an absolute knife edge of win or bin. Muchly enjoyed it & looking forward to tomorrow

Re: Snetterton 300 Road Bike only TD this Thursday

Nicely. Couldn't make it due to accursed nightshift last night, but lurching that way this Monday. Taking the r1 simply because the ducati is out of mot and can't get it done till this coming Thursday. But regardless, it ought to be a larf...

Re: Why I stopped wearing motorcycle body armour

Likewise the first armour I had was protec, in a set of mtm swift leathers (the varnsvery era rather than the later standard branded stuff) I recall grumping about it to a surgeon just before he operated on my pulverised knee cap, complaining that it hadn't protected me. He just said "no armour...

Re: Switzerland

Wierd fact - I've driven through Switzerland three times but never seen it because driving at night, ffs. So I'll be riding through Switzerland next month when returning from misano gp. Currently rummaging through maps etc looking for the best views, passes etc. Jo chance of speeding because I'll be...

Re: Friday thread.... The Politics is dead one :)

No work today so taking ducati wheels to Wheatley to sling new tyres on, visit swmbo then go collect mixing desk that will fill the rest of the car. That'll be sold soon and the new tyres on the 1198s will do nicely for a misano excursion in September. Unfortunately working all weekend which has bol...

Quite the sizzler yesterday- setting up sound system for riverside festival, sorting marquee & decor....then taking it easy, dabbling toes in the river contemplating band I'm mixing tomorrow then playing with my band = revenge.

Re: Longest Day Challenge 2024

Byeck, it's been a while...bike despite being a canal fund under the shiney bodywork is now a Functioning Thing, and as good as it's gonna get. Likewise me - done about 5k miles this year and no longer a sofa potato. So let's see what goes wrong eh? The event is this Thursday so nipping to tintagel ...

Re: Ducati delays choosing who will partner Bagnaia on Factory bike

So very much this - there will be no hiding behind "my bike is worse than yours" - Marc is desperate for the legacy of topping rossi's championship totals but bagpuss is no pushover at all - look at the way he piles into corners with the rear all over the shop and the front constantly on t...

Re: Italian MotoGP at Mugello

Pecco strikes me as very similar in attitude to Alain Prost, the F1 driver, known as 'the Professor'. Very calculating, keeps the emotion out of it. He raced in the same era as Ayrton Senna, but the two were totally different in temperament. Very much this, Lswsonesque in his approach to racing and...

Re: Portimao the wiggly way down...

Back in one piece. Likewise the bike. 3000 miles round trip and a beestely thrashing on track though I vastly preferred riding the ducati at portimao. The r1 is a squishy comfy sofa of fun though and more than capable regardless of roads whether it's sweeping bends or N2 Portugal lunacy. I'll host a...
