Re: What have you done today thread?
I'd been to a bike rally at the weekend in Belgium and, yesterday, rode up through The Netherlands to stay for four nights before going home. I was feeling quite chipper because I've managed to reach another birthday so have caught up with Skub again.
This is my bike. Not the pedal cycle. The ...

Re: Post Office scandal
I agree with Potter. While a task can be delegated to a subordinate who becomes responsible and accountable for carrying it out, but their superior cannot delegate their own responsibility and accountability for the completion of the task. It's a form of strict liability. Not knowing that the task ...

Misgendering..........or more accurately, people that get 'offended' by it.
JK Rowling has apparently been reported to the police because she misgendered some trans news reader (by the trans news reader themselves).
Now, you can paint a cow with black and white stripes, but it will never be a ...

Arsehole pro-cyclists.
They come for winter training and their arrogance and self importance knows no bounds and they piss everyone off.
Today, they excelled themselves. Saw 3 cyclists, which would have been easy for cars to pass. Oh no. Their coach was sat in a car behind them, at their speed ...

Remember: they'll print/broadcast whatever sells. Doesn't matter if it's 100% true or not. If it gets people buying the paper/watching the channel they'll say it. If it turns out to be wrong: noone cares.
Is he still around? I liked him in Herman's Hermits. I didn't know he cared though ...

Please bear with me as my post is related to the royal family although I would have the same feeling if it were anyone.

Re: Busy doing nothing....can you sit and do sod all?
I've been signed off for another fortnight, which I'm fine with as I still ain't right. I've been told umpteen times to take it easy, put my feet up, get rest and recover, but I'm incapable of sitting and doing nothing as it seems a waste of time. I've read couple of books, cooked a shit ton of ...

2024 hasn't started too well. On day one I broke a tooth. I hope that's the worst thing that happens this year.

Does it still exist? - Do you apply it to your standard day?
I have just been over hearing a conversation between 4 LSA's in a school staffroom. They were complaining that everyone is ill all the time in schools and as they no longer have the covid rules in place it has made it worse.
They also ...

Re: Hedgehogs
I have a garden that is good for hedgehogs but they don't visit as often as they used to. I think part of it ìs because a lot of my neighbours have paved over their gardens and now have fences down to the ground. This means places where the prickly pigs can forage and nest are much reduced.

Eeh bah gum, I can remember when I were a lad, dogs were fed on raw meat, offal and bones plus leftovers from the dinner table. An uncle of my dad used to give his sheepdogs porridge, too.
