LED Light Strings

Post by Felix »

Wife wants then round the Livingroom picture rail. I have two boxes of 10m but one is not enough and two is to much. They are mains powered but 31v. Am i right in thinking i can cut a few meters off for a neater fit and just tape the ends up? Rather tape them into one adapter but they would probably end up being to dull.

I have a few strips of 12 V strips. Theycome in 5 metre lengths and I cut off what I need.

The ones I get show on the strip where to cut them, which is across the middle of the exposed copper contacts. If you need to you can just solder a couple of wires on at that point.

You can also get connectors to join lengths of them (or, if you're neat you can solder wire connectors on). However, it's not clear from the OP if they're strips or wire - like tree lights. I suspect they're wired.

Wire. I know you can with the strips and cant see why not with the wire but just wanting to know for sure if anyone has done it.
