Re: Suzuki 100 anniversary gsxr
Chubby didn't but Bazza did, which is a weird choice for Suzuki, as he didn't ride for Suzuki Japan

Re: Suzuki 100 anniversary gsxr
Is he the most famous Suzuki rider world wide?
I'd have thought Kevin Schwantz was more popular, if you stuck a number 34 on it, you'd also pick up the Wes Cooley fans.

Re: Suzuki 100 anniversary gsxr
Certainly Revin' Kevin would be more current in the minds of bikers, but no motorcyclist ever crossed into the public mainstream like Barry Sheene. In his era Sheene was a household name/celebrity in a way not even Valentino Rossi managed.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Wed Dec 23, 2020 1:36 pmIs he the most famous Suzuki rider world wide?

Re: Suzuki 100 anniversary gsxr
As a child with no idea about motorcycles, I knew who Barry Shine was... or Barry Machine as I thought he was called.
He was a presenter on "Just Amazing".
One episode a man ate a bicycle.

Re: Suzuki 100 anniversary gsxr
"in his era" sums it up, and was Barry a household name outside of the UK (I don't know the answer to this as my experience of the 1970s is the arse end of Suffolk)Skub wrote: ↑Wed Dec 23, 2020 1:46 pm

Re: Suzuki 100 anniversary gsxr
To be honest, I only flicked through the video after spotting all the other colours on Friendface, to see if they were shown on it, so I could come back here and chastise all the peoples saying there should be a Schwantz one for not watching the video.

Re: Suzuki 100 anniversary gsxr
and I much prefer the "1981 - MARCO LUCCHINELLI" out of all of them, but I've no idea who he is.

All the paint jobs will be spoilt when you need to add the tank spacer pad which only comes in black. It's crap without it.

I consider myself chastised, I'm at work so can't get away with watching motorbike videos, can you post some screen shots of the other schemes.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Wed Dec 23, 2020 2:42 pmTo be honest, I only flicked through the video after spotting all the other colours on Friendface, to see if they were shown on it, so I could come back here and chastise all the peoples saying there should be a Schwantz one for not watching the video.

Not keen on any of those, Lucky Strike is the best one
The bike outline reminds me of the GSX600 Teapot, should've done a Durex scheme
