Why weird, he's the most famous bloke to ride a Suzuki (after Yorick ). Theyre just using him for a bit of advertising, most prospective customers have never heard of Heron.

I'd have thought Kevin Schwantz was more popular, if you stuck a number 34 on it, you'd also pick up the Wes Cooley fans.

Certainly Revin' Kevin would be more current in the minds of bikers,but no motorcyclist ever crossed into the public mainstream like Barry Sheene. In his era Sheene was a household name/celebrity in a way not even Valentino Rossi managed.

As a child with no idea about motorcycles, I knew who Barry Shine was... or Barry Machine as I thought he was called.

He was a presenter on "Just Amazing".

Certainly Revin' Kevin would be more current in the minds of bikers,but no motorcyclist ever crossed into the public mainstream like Barry Sheene. In his era Sheene was a household name/celebrity in a way not even Valentino Rossi managed.

"in his era" sums it up, and was Barry a household name outside of the UK (I don't know the answer to this as my experience of the 1970s is the arse end of Suffolk)

To be honest, I only flicked through the video after spotting all the other colours on Friendface, to see if they were shown on it, so I could come back here and chastise all the peoples saying there should be a Schwantz one for not watching the video.

All the paint jobs will be spoilt when you need to add the tank spacer pad which only comes in black. It's crap without it.
