Re: What have you done today thread?
Dropped Mrs. Gremlin to our local hospital A&E dept at 7.30am this morning. Long story, 'lady problems', least said the better. Been ongoing for a week or so and getting worse. GP was reliably useless, as is to be expected.
Just got a WhatsApp of her surgical stocking-clad feet as she prepares to go to theatre. Not sure if she's in overnight or day case.
Bit of a shocker.

Good that they swing into action promptly but probably adds to the shock.

I'm waiting on a mate to arrive by bike - left Wales at stupid o'clock this morning!! He's off out to tour some cols tomorrow (if he's not too knackered!!) and Monday and Tuesday!! I've got to stay awake long enough to let him into his apartment when he gets here!! LOL
I have managed to bleach me roots so I'll be back to pink and not badger pink for work tomorrow

Sat here waiting for *The Hurricane* to arrive... so far it's a bit cloudy with no rain or wind.. Media & Democrats blaming it on climate nonsense.. but seem unable to blame the last one (80 years ago) on the same thing for some reason.

Still waiting to be taken down. Been told it should be within the hour. She's not eaten in 24 hours and has put me on notice to bring a cup of builder's tea, an M&S prawn sandwich and two iced buns.mangocrazy wrote: ↑Sat Aug 19, 2023 7:27 pm Any news on Mrs Gremlin? Re: What have you done today thread?
As a gentleman, it would be impudent of me to discuss it on here as it is rather a sensitive subject. Let's just say, it's nothing you nor I need ever worry about having done.weeksy wrote: ↑Sat Aug 19, 2023 9:16 pmWhat's she having?gremlin wrote: ↑Sat Aug 19, 2023 8:51 pmStill waiting to be taken down. I read it as you would be drinking the tea and eating the food rather than an enquiry about surgical procedures!

That's how I read it as well but I can understand if his sense of humour is a bit impaired at the moment.Count Steer wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2023 7:04 amI read it as you would be drinking the tea and eating the food rather than an enquiry about surgical procedures!
@gremlin Keep an eye on things, it's not unknown for people to get forgotten about if they don't make enough noise

Ahhh. After a night's sleep I can see my failure to grasp the joke. Apologies.Count Steer wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2023 7:04 amI read it as you would be drinking the tea and eating the food rather than an enquiry about surgical procedures!
In my defence, it's been a trying couple of days.
