I want a bike to mess about on. Fart about on the mountain hairpins. Bugger about round town. Nip to the shops.weeksy wrote: Mon Apr 24, 2023 8:22 pmThat's almost impossible to answer. Part of you will, the riding position and how it rides, yes. The power and delivery, maybe not.Yorick wrote: Mon Apr 24, 2023 8:15 pm @weeksy .
IIRC you had one of these.
In just a few lines, do you think I'll like it? I want a road version of my lunatic dirt bike.
The 21+ KTM has a rev counter, plus a blipper and QS, obviously a slipper clutch too and TC.
They're light (in actual motorbike terms) and frugal on juice. But they're not a fire breathing SM that'll rip your arms off.
First thing I'd do is get them to go 1 tooth down on front sprocket even before collection.
They're windy, but no more than any other naked.
I'm honestly 50-50 as to whether you'll love or hate it.
A 690 should be perfect for that .Yorick wrote: Mon Apr 24, 2023 10:49 pmI want a bike to mess about on. Fart about on the mountain hairpins. Bugger about round town. I love riding bikes. But there's a hole.
I don't ride as often as I'd like.
The GSXR is staying.
The barmy GasGas is staying.
I hope the SM fills the hole.

Not like you to be funny

Yup perfect, but not road legal !Yorick wrote: Thu Apr 27, 2023 11:01 amThis is more like itCouchy wrote: Thu Apr 27, 2023 8:19 am The GG as it has proper wheels. But if you buy the enduro version and swap wheels, add a brake bracket and big disc it’ll be enoughYorick wrote: Thu Apr 27, 2023 1:22 pmAye. Bloody shame.Couchy wrote: Thu Apr 27, 2023 12:41 pmYup perfect, but not road legal !Yorick wrote: Thu Apr 27, 2023 11:01 am
