I'd the lurgy allows I'm taking Mrs Weeksy out later. We discussed cards and she said "no, it's silly" however, still bought one! Nutter

We said no to cards too, but then she bought me one! I'm not in trouble though, as i'm taking her out tonight. Phew!

My missus did the exact same thing! Agreed at the weekend not to bother, then a bloody card appears.

Yup. For years we agreed not to do anything as she said she wasn't bothered and didn't want anything. I agreed. So we didn't. Until yesterday when I had an unsigned card thrown at me. She then storms off upstairs and slams the bedroom door mumbling that maybe she expects too much. WTF?

Anyway, are they still selling valentines cards in the shops? Serious question!

Well I had a lovely meal out, I indulged in some classically Swabian cuisine and beer I don't think there was a single item in my dinner which wasn't beige.

There are support groups for men in that situation but what you really need is some insurance in case she decides to use the police as a weapon, they will take the woman's side and you'll need evidence to prove she is the abusive one. Plod have lots of ways to screw you over without going near a court and they will to tick their boxes, truth only matters when it's convenient for them.
Try to get some secret recordings of her behaviour just in case. Don't start any arguments or let her provoke you, just look for an escape route.

As a note of how pathetic the police are I was labelled (against my choice) a victim of crime and offered support because a teenage strop involved a jar of pickle being thrown on the floor. They said if he was an adult he would have been arrested for criminal damage, stay well clear of them and don't give her any ammo.
