Off road bikes long fork travel tends to drag dirt up under the seals.

Get one of these, after every ride put a drop of oil on it and spin it around the fork leg, you'll be surprised the amount of gunge it will collect.

It's so dry here, there's no dirt to attack the seals, but will try it anyway.

I thought the sag was being set as part of the upgrade? Or is your man coming back to do that?

Took it straight to a really rocky path and instantly disappointed.
Carried on and slowly improved. Back good but the front still jars my forearms.
Maybe I expected too much as the ground here is mainly rock hard.

Came home on same path and it was better, so maybe needs to bed in.
Maybe some fine tuning will help.

I thought the sag was being set as part of the upgrade? Or is your man coming back to do that?

Just static sag needed doing and it was spot on.
Didn't need rider sag as the new (fatboy) spring takes care of it.

Well, I'm a lot happier today after tough 4 hour ride. I don't know if things bed in, but it's much more compliant now. It's perhaps not as comfy as I would like, but it certainly 'performs' better on the tough stuff. And even after 4 hours, I had no aches or pains in my arms.
