also its not really a weakness, he's has it before, plus he buggered his shoulder and still wiped the floor with them a few times this year

There's no denying their success,but the 'eggs in one basket' carries risk too. If they don't have that stellar rider who is head and shoulders above the rest,ie Spencer,Doohan,Rossi or Marquez,then their machines are well off the pace.

Same for everyone. What team has or has had 2 Stella riders that win it all the time. If I was Mr Honda I’d be building Marc what ever he wants. Currently he’s the best there is. Hands down. So what if they don’t win it for a year.

They'd rather have just 1st, rather than 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th.

Yamaha in the 1980s and 90s went from Roberts to Lawson to Rainey pretty seamlessly, but all of those ride a bike the same way.

As far as I can remember the only riders to be really successful on more than one manufacturers bike in the premier class are Agostini, Lawson and Rossi, so manufacturers have probably always built bikes around their best rider.
