As we have a new ish dog I'm doing all the local parks and by the rivers of the area.
So far I've been quite impressed with just how many decent walks there are within the city boundery.
Some require a little imagination and are basically wasteground from old railway sidings and near what was the old Carlisle powerstation but interesting walks all the same.
Anyway this one's a bit of a fail, if I'd just been a little over to the side I could have lined it up just that bit better.

Then theres the sportmode thing on most cameraphones these days. I don't have that but I do have a six month old pup that loves to jump up on things every time I say "UP" which helps a bit. Not the best focus but I was walking at the time as well.

The Railway Walk here in MK forms part of the pedestrian/cycle road network and follows the route of an old branch line. It's still got the platforms and stereotypical bridges....

The pylon photo was taken by the river and what used to be the Carlisle powerstation, demolished in 1988 and thats just by the Roman wall walk.
Buggerall Roman wall to see and if I remember right nothing visible of it for a few miles towards Lanercost and that bit of the Roman Wall near Twice Brewed that Robin Hood Prince of Thieves went over on his way back from Dover to Sherwood. A fairly significant detour that went unmentioned in the film...

Granddaughter went Trick or Treating and wanted me to take the dog, two mins with an eyebrow pencil (which incidentally I now know is a bastard to wash off fur) and we had something close enough to Sparky the Frankenweenie for a country job.

Be a little bit careful with the jumping at 6 months, at this age he can do damage that can give problems later.

Have a quick Google for 'growth plates'.

In agility' training we don't really start jumping at any significant height until 12 months or so and for a large dog they won't go up to full height until 18 months

Good point well made, I'll knock that on the head.
I'd heard of the limits on length of activity per month of age so wasn't doing long walks but not of the type of activity if you see what I mean.
Kind of obvious now you come to mention it and easy enough to lessen some of it.
The running around like a mad thing however isn't as easy so I'll likely not take daughters dog for a walk as much cos when the two of them get together it's full speed and jumping about from ours and ambushes from daughters shorter legged dog.

You should also read about the time a ground test guy accidentally took off in a Lightning - he was doing engine checks when it errr...got away from him a bit.

Wasn't there also something about a Lighting losing it's canopy at high speed, possible supersonic, and the pilot landing it safely, thereby gaining a record for the fastest open cockpit aircraft.
