I won the pools when I bought this house - garden has neighbours on 4 sides (FFS!) - 3 are on their deathbeds, the other works too hard to ever get out in the garden. Peaceful. It all seems a bit out of whack, the "stars" don't need to earn that much, there's plenty of budding actors that would do the job just aswell for a fraction of the price. Then the Disney's wouldn't need to charge the cinema that much and the Cinemas/streaming services wouldn't need to charge the customers so much !!!?? Unless I missed something !?
1 Disney, love them or loath them, have a history of making successful films so maybe they know what they're doing
and
2 you don't?

I know the industry must be hurting, but they can feck right off, that's the old price they charged to buy a film, download and a hard copy

I can't tell you if it is any good as I've not seen it. But I can tell you that the consensus is,it's a typical Marvel movie.

I don't mind if I'm asked to buy shopping for people who can't do it themselves, but don't expect me to do it round your usual supermarket full of geriatrics moving at a crawl. Especially when I have to go to my usual supermarket first to get all the stuff you know don't be stocked in yours.

Sodding bastard printers. Why do they seem to have minds of their own.
I have a printer that has worked fine for 8 months or more. Turn it on, print, turn it off
This morning when I have one thing important to print to do some work before I go to the valley and the bastard thing will not connect to wifi. Why did it even disconnect itself???
I've entered the password three times (bloody long and tortuous using arrows on the printer to choose the letters ) and now trying the WPS button from the router - for the second time
Aaaargh

Re: Insignificant/ Significant things that BYP or just wind you up a little
Just had my airbnb reservation cancelled for the bank holiday weekend, bastards. We move out of the house on the 27th and will be homeless until the campervan arrives in mid October. We thought we'd kick things off with some time indoors before going camping for a couple of weeks afterwards.
My parents are in Ireland and mum isn't good, bowel cancer. She had a blood test today and it wasn't good, the doctor phoned my sister with the choice of hospital for a blood transfusion or just let it be. Mum's 88 and really doesn't need a trip to hospital, so leave things alone is the way forward. I'd planned to go over again in 3 weeks time, I can go a bit earlier but can't leave wifey packing up the house. I went for 3 weeks in April and that was really my chance to say goodbye, it would be nice to be there for the old man when she does pop off. If she hangs on until October then wifey and I will both be there. Fucksocks.

Google maps and it's alternative route suggestions while on the way somewhere
IE
10 minutes to destination- You can go this way if you like, it'll take 20 minutes longer !
or
How about going this way, it'll add 7 minutes- Because I can clearly see that you're sending me off this road, down that road, round the roundabout at the end of that road and then back to this road !

Instagram.
It can be the only reason that so many people are spending hours and having multiple changes of clothing to get the right photo of themselves with a sunset backdrop.
Not the sunset.
Them.
The sunset comes a distant second.
Vain twats.
I must be well old, innit

Foods in jars that have a 'Use by' date of eg 2023 but say 'Eat within 3 days of opening'.
Particularly when there's about 2 months supply in the jar.

Totally agree with the reckoning!! It still won't connect. I have to connect direct to it, so have to be more organised about things and get everything I want to print ready, then connect - cos connecting direct means that I'm not connected to my home wifiMingtheMerciless wrote: ↑Thu Aug 19, 2021 9:31 pmNoggin wrote: ↑Mon Aug 16, 2021 7:46 am Sodding bastard printers. Buying something, being really pleased with it. So pleased that when the time comes buying it again. Only to find the ards have 'engineered out the costs'. ie saved on production costs by using cheaper materials/reducing functionality - but kept the same retail price.
Someone once asked 'Is there nothing that cannot be made cheaper and with less care?' It seems not.
