I'll give you Iddon and O'Halloran are wrong side of 30 and where they will peak championship wise. Buchan is 28 but also not on the list for a world championship ride.
Brad Ray is 24, been on Suzuki's radar for a while as a possible on the world scene but jumping ship to BMW has probably burned those bridges
Rory Skinner is the one to watch ..... 19 years old, Talent cup winner, dominated Supersport to championship and already settling into the Superbike ride

The problem isn't BSBs fault, it's club racings fault. BSB run the Talent Cup in support classe, where a rider wins a Moto3 ride potentially. So there's BSB sticking in it's option for youngsters. But the club racers don't seem to cater as well for the younger lads, being very stuck in definitions of classes that worked well 10, 15 and 20 years ago. The problem being, none of their classes are suitable for bringing in new young talent and nurturing them to the top.

Looking at the pics there, people can't say we haven't got youngsters racing, clearly we have in the UK.. but it's how we get them from there into Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP that's the stumbling block.

Been following Casey O Gorman's progress for a couple of years and they are going the right way. Started in mini motos, through pit bikes and he was supported in the UK enough from backers to get himself into CEV Moto3 last year and did well there. This season he is British Talent Cup and already leading the championship at 13 years of age with 2 sins out of 2 races and a view to European Talent cup as well.
If continues as he is going he will be our next Moto3 rider in a couple of years when he is old enough.
Was doing well on his own but has now been picked up by Shakey Byrne as his manager so all the right doors can be opened as well

Chaz Davies, Casey Stoner, Sam and Alex Lowes all started in Superteens class at club level. Jake Dixon and Cal Crutchlow started on 600's at club level
All moved to BSB support race classes apart from Stoner. All then moved up into MotoGP or WSB paddocks .
One of the few exceptions to this was Scott Redding. He didnt do UK Club racing and straight into CEV hence his faster route into 125GP than probably any UK kid racer. When he came back to BSB he didnt know any of the circuits having only raced Donington and Silverstone.
The amount of money thrown at some kids at the club racing level is incredible and out of them 1 or 2 will make it to a decent BSB or support class ride each year. Out of all of those 1 or 2 will make it to a world championship paddock every 4-5 years

Kid has been around for years and should have been in the Moto3 grid 3 years ago winning the Talent cup and being Moto GP Red Bull Rookies. Somehow the money wasnt there for the ride that was available and he went back to square one with the family run bike back in the UK
