New Bike day
New Bike day
After a lot if searching and waiting I finally picked up my new Haibike Hardseven7 this morning ..rode it home from Chichester using a couple of cycle trails and cycle paths., very pleased with the way it rides .
Very comfy ergonomics too.
Only downside for now is that it’s restricted to 15.5 mph and I can’t really alter anything until after first service then it will be put right .

What spec is it?
Also you can go faster, you just have to pedal a little harder.

Didn’t bother waiting for the first service ...25 miles done and found the restriction just too annoying ...so this morning I fitted a Volspeed derestrictor which allows you to choose any max assist speed you want ...I’ve currently got it at 20 and the difference is night and day ( it also irons out the ‘wall’ when you reach max speed) ..probably stick with it around 20 for a while now while I put some more miles on..

There are usually ways of derestricting a hub motor that doesn’t require a kit ..often the speed limit is set through 2 wires in the controller that can simply be disconnected ..depends upon the model though ..Dodgy knees wrote: ↑Fri May 28, 2021 1:52 pm Can you get a derestictor kit for a cheaper hub motor. ??
