Spent ages removing bodywork on my NC absolute PIA.
Fitted the sub harness then couldn't get it to work - eventually managed it .
Went out on the CBR but traffic was really heavy and it took ages just to get to Redbridge so I gave up .
Having a Zoom meet up at 0330 tomorrow for my nieces wedding - pity we aren't there but ..

Went car shopping and put a deposit down on a 6 month old ST-line Fiesta Hybrid.

I started off looking about a week ago with a budget of £10k but mission creep got a hold of me.

Spent most of the day at an accident on the M1 around Newport Pagnell Services. If you were stuck or delayed I apologise, but someone won’t be home tonight.
Got home to find I have bought more bits for the Triumph Explorer that is coming on Tuesday. Funny how it has everything I want, yet I’ve got 2 boxes of bits to fit when it arrives.
Anyone want a Sprint ST 1050, 2005, no MOT, lost interest?
Cheers
Mick.

I'm chilling today. I've taken a lot of pain meds over the last two days (between the physio apt on Friday afternoon and the cooking, carrying, more cooking, my arm/shoulder has not been a happy arm/shoulder :( ) and done more cooking for one meal since Friday evening than I have in blooming months. Probably years!

Took some of the prep and pre cooked food to some friends chalet on Saturday morning to then finish prep and cooking a Chinese Takeaway style meal for 9! Bloody loved cooking in their kitchen (normal to large size kitchen in a gorgeous, newly renovated chalet) - huge difference to cooking in my teeny-weeny little space

Menu for 9 (2 vegetarians both eat fish so oyster sauce was ok) -

Starters
Sesame Prawn toast (shallow fried, reheated in the oven)
Vegetable spring rolls
(Duck rolls brought by another friend - he only had rice paper so wasn’t happy with the result but they tasted good!!)

Mains
Sweet and sour chicken balls
Lemon chicken (the vegetarian was so impressed at how soft/succulent the chicken looked when she was cutting it for me that she had four pieces!!!! And bloody loved it!!!)
Beef and Green pepper in black bean sauce
Char Sui Pork (cooking the pressure cooker so not possible to slice it - but thoroughly enjoyed!!)
Chow Mein (vegetarian) - only dish I consider a fail 😞. I forgot to take the lucky boat noodles. My friend gave me some Japanese noodles from her cupboard and I over cooked them 😡😞😞)
Fried rice with vegetables (vegetarian)
Tofu and mushroom (only dish I’d not made a smaller version of at home) - the two veggies loved this. The meat eaters liked the mushroom side, unimpressed with the tofu 🤣 I was amazed at just how huge/how much the small bags of dried mushrooms became!!!
"Seaweed" :)

Starters -

Happy cook chopping stuff with lovely sharp knife!!! Damn that kitchen is amazing!!

The only rugby match I was seriously interested in had us all on the edge of our seats, but good result!! I got 3/3 on the rugby :D :D

Off to the RockStore, it's the monthly Third Sunday Kaw Meet, which also coincides with the third Sunday vintage bike meet. Expecting a herd of Zee-Rex's.
Local freeway was closed for a while. There was a Fatal, then as the cops were trying to get the traffic turned around some woman got out of her car & starting barfing.. so she got a DUI.. & so did two others who demonstrated difficulty with doing a U Turn.

Got fed up with the peeling gaffa tape on the seat of the BMW, now sporting a sheepskin pad again, needs a bit of trimming up and fixing on properly.Lovely having a warm bum after the cold fake leather original.

Had to drop stuff to my sister's house,so out on the bike for a couple of hours.

I normally don't ride on a Sunday unless I can get away early in the morning and today reminded me why I do that. The roads were bunged, queues at filling stations and folk everywhere enjoying the sun like lockdown is history.

Some fine examples of riders who possibly haven't been out in a while and some of their riding was beyond shit. I took as many back roads as I could to get away from them.

Managed to removed a wedged MT2 taper from my new (to me) mill. Some gorilla had done the draw bar up like a loony..

Had to freeze it in the end.... then it just dropped out with a gentle tap.

What sort of goon does a draw bar up that tight?

Also found why the washing machine had an interesting aroma... a blocked drain. Slight mistake bringing the airline in and giving it 120psi.... 😂

Tried to dig out a tree stump. Is actually 2 trees in one, a hazel and Holly combined into one massive root ball. Hours of digging and chopping at roots and the bastard thing isn't even rocking 🤨

And don't worry, the nice paring chisel doesn't go anywhere near gasket faces, its for paring wooden things.
Don't hold yer breath for much action on the bike front either, I'm on a shite job at the moment and not getting much time to work on anything else.
Oh yeah and the gold looks a bit "John Mccriricks watch" and not exactly my favourite colour but thats just how VHM heads come, got no choice in that bit.
