I'm in.
I guess the only stumbling block is if No Limits say it's in, the flights go and therefore people lose their deposit if they don't go.

Much as it pains me, I'm happy to suck up the £570 and postpone till 2022, but if others are not, I can completely understand that.

Meh, if they say it's on this year then - result! - I get to go on the "covid - I spit on you 2021 tour" and the "2022 covid fuck you tour"

As time progresses i sit and think that 2021 actually has some potential merit... I'm certainly less pessimistic than i am if you'd have asked me a month ago... I can actually almost begin to see this going ahead....There's a lot of bridges to cross in terms of isolation hotels etc which would 100% be a game changer... But taking them optimistically out of the equation... Well.... maybe.

Well he didn't say No...''International Travel possible after May 17th.''

Just got to persuade them to let u lot in now ?

And then back out again.

I cant see NL being able to proceed with this on the back of a "possible travel after the 17th" announcement but i stand to be corrected :wtf:

Well, even if the travel is possible 10 days later, there's going to be a chunk of caveats, restrictions, testing, isolating, it's not going to go from closed to "yay, free for all" in the space of 10 days.

Without being too pessimistic, i see this as the nail in the coffin for 2021 Portimao.

Unfortunately i tend to agree with you on that one so now we have to see if NL will let us carry over deposits for another attempt in 2022, similar time of year and same venue. And looking at the gov "red list" for travel quarantine Portugal is pretty much the only European country on it ffs

I'll be most interested to know the answer to that question :D

I'll be most disappointed if the answer is no.... But.... if that's what happens, it won't stop me doing an event in 2022...

It won't be with NL though if that's the case.

What's the rules regarding cancellation?

If NL cancel, do we get full/part refunds?

You know what, I'm not 100%

Someone ought to ask, but as it was only announced today I think it's a bit early, they're likely to have 50 others asking the same questions and I'm not convinced they'll have even the slightest answers yet themselves.

I know for sure if it's cancelled they'll credit note the full amount. But any more than that, I dunno.

I think I read that if we cancel, the refund gets less as time gets nearer the event.

No. The refund even now is 50% of total event cost if you cancel, so, £0.

If they cancel, that's a different thing.

So, 30% of £600 is £200. Deposit of £270, you'd get £70 back lol.

At least our Spain trip is still on. They're all looking to book the ferry on May 30th when it becomes available. We'll just avoid big towns and busy areas.

Out of curiosity i logged in today to see if there was any mention on the NL website and no surprise, nada. I also checked my booking and found i had accommodation for , i assume 2 people as it was double the other days, booked for June the 1st. That was news to me as i am flying home that day . I have asked them to remove it and also if they could update me if it was actually going ahead as Portugal is currently the only EU country on the UK Gov Red travel list

Not holding breath ;)
