Went back to check and they had given a very short answer and then closed the chat box cos I didn't reply immediately!! :o How rude!!
Just to check - you're aware that all .eu domains now 'must' be registered to an address in europe? (in case that was the issue.)

On Friday I was doing some survey work, which included some NHS locations. On arrival I had to strip, satanise, and get into scrubs, an apron, a mask, gloves - the whole 9 yards.

sexy nurse: "hope you don't mind, we are trying to stay COVID free".

me: "no worries, I have stayed at home pretty much for a year, so some scrubs is no issue"

Onto the ward, survey nearly complete

sexy nurse: "if you go past the yellow line you'll need to change your PPE"

me "ok - out of interest, why is that?"

sexy nurse: "we have a COVID case in that room there..."

:angry-argument: :angry-cussingblack:

I wouldn't have gone in the building at all, had she told me that at reception. It's now meant my dentists has cancelled my appointment for today as I have potentially come into contact with CV19. :angry-cussingblack: :angry-cussingblack:
Bloody hell! They are really taking this religious persecution thing a bit too far now!!!

If you were PPE’d up I wouldn’t worry about it. You don’t need to declare it as a contact. I hope not anyway as I’ll have to isolate from the Mrs.

I was asked if I had been anywhere where there are known "infected". I was honest, and explained the PPE, distance etc, but nope... you're unclean... stay away and paint a red cross on your front door.

Yup. What I couldn't understand was that my details on the domain company page were the French address and phone number. So wanted to ask someone what I needed to prove an address in europe.

They don't need any proof - but for some reason the actual domain had my old uk address

I didn't ask, but it's kinda weird that it's only .eu addresses - I have a couple of .fr addresses but no contact about them!!

Twats not wearing masks. I do understand that some people are genuinely unable to wear them, but eff me it feels like there's a lot of twats claiming they can't, when actually they just don't want to.

Example 1;

Boy and a girl, late teens, neither wearing a mask in Lidl. So BOTH of you are unable to wear a mask but you also decided you both need to come inside the shop?

Example 2;

Fat lad, early 20's in petrol station, no mask, when in the shop he initially pulls his hoody hood over his face (proving that there's no reason he can't wear a mask), then he gets bored of this and simply stands there chatting, even moves to the side of the protective glass when talking to he lady on the till.

Technically you're not allowed here "unless medically exempt" but you're also not allowed to ask someone what their medical exemption is.

So...

I was washing the bosses Range Rover yesterday. I attempted to fold the windscreen wipers up so I could get at the whole windscreen. For some reason the bods at LR decided to make the wipers very very very nearly fit passed the bonnet. To the point that I noticed they weren't going to go, but also noticed that someone has previously done what I was attempting resulting in the paint on the back edge of the bonnet being damaged.

Fucking inefficiencies

Currently under the care of a consultant (nowt to worry about, just fucked up hormone levels that un-corrected may cause an issue in the future, consultant is in Durham (renowned in his field and sourced when I had private medical, but under NHS) and I’m in Sunderland so differing health authorities...*

Consultant and I check in monthly currently to monitor progress on new drug (first lot a few years ago proper fucked me up), and tweaks levels upward which means a new prescription which is / should be issued by my GP. Every month I have to chase the consultants secretary** to reissue consultant letter to gp for him to issue a prescription to my local Boots for collection a couple of days later (never in stock).

This month, I got a letter from consultant 48 hours after consultation and expect GP to get his letter to issue prescription automatically to my chosen online prescription provider so tablets turn up in the post as easily and routinely as you’d expect. Nope, no fucking prescription because there is no letter at gp (or it is at the bottom of a pile of correspondence) so I phone consultant’s secretary, she emails letter, gp receptionist confirms receipt and issue of prescription before sending to local boots as I’m running out of tablets.

I go to boots, no tablets (see second rant) as prescription was only received today not Tuesday as informed by doctor’s receptionist...

Fuck me sidewards, how hard is it to get a electronic message from one part of the NHS to another or issue me with 3 months supply which is topped up each time the quantity is changed?

* three health authorities if you count the other endocrinologist who is also monitoring progress and has 10 year out of data records when it comes to telephone number but a home address which has only been valid for less than three years.

** I say his secretary, she’s never there, I always speak to another secretary who works her magic and emails the right stuff to the right people

Rant Two

Fucking pharmacists...

Current tablets are 2.5mg each, initial dosage was 1.25mg daily, prescription said this but tablet in that size doesn’t exist so I had to go through the fuck on of having to get gp to reissue prescription as 1/2 tablet daily instead of pharmacist using common sense and printing it on the instructions...***

Dosage has been steadily increasing, so I’m now on 5mg per day, gp puts 5mg capsules on prescription (which are no longer in production) so guess what? That’s it, a new fucking prescription is required to say take 2 x 2.5mg tablets daily... you couldn’t fucking make it up!

*** on my search to fulfil another prescription urgently for some tests which happened to include the original 1.25mg dosage, the only pharmacist who had the test control available said she’d simply amend the prescription to show what was handed over rather than what was requested as it was no different that being told to take 1g of paracetamol as 2x 500mg tablets. Perhaps I should go back there!

Been having a few problems with our on line booking system - been like it for a while but thought I'd do something about it. So linked up to the ''on line 24/7 support''

What really gets me going is this ''modern speak''

''I'm reaching out to my...''

''I'll contact my team''

Why can't they just admit they don't know ???

And then it's the '' have a nice day now and enjoy''

Can't they see it's 9.30pm and I've spent the last 3/4 hour going round the houses and getting nowhere ?

Oh and just had the phone bill from ''reaching out'' to virgin media - £18.00 - cos I was on hold for 1.25 hours x 3. couldn;t put the phone down and dial again as I'd loose the place in the que. They did ring me the other day - I missed the call - had a message - ''it's virgin media calling'' - YES AND ????

Called them back and I'm at the back of the que again...

Oh well, have dropped BBC Wales X Ray program a line. we'll see.

Some people have decided that I should feel offended & the victim of racist policy by being referred to as a "Resident Alien" & they want to change the Calizuela law to refer to me as a Resident non-Citizen.
Of course these goddamn do gooders didn't bother to ask MY fucking opinion on the matter. I prefer Resident Alien.

Why do you need a title? Youve been there a decade or more?
