I likes the chrome (or is it nickel) plated frame, love the swingarm (is it a KTM one?), the filters look a bit thin?

They do look too thin, front to back. You won’t know for sure until you try to go fast.

Clearly me as i was the person who posted it :D

One of the guys on STW forum was asking about B road bikes.... i thought of the 660X
I found them a bit top heavy, I thought the road bike version was better to ride

Image
Styling wise, I love those.Took a test ride on one and it felt like a big scooter, maybe its the sunken seat and shortish wheelbase.

I rode one of them when i had a bike in Fowlers for servicing, that was an awful bike to ride and i wasn't a stranger to the engine as i'd owned a couple of XT660s by then, but damn that was an awful bike to ride, really not nice at all.

L-F-G.... you is young innit?
I know a mad German who attempted the Iron Butt on one... twice. My memory is that he completed the second Iron Butt after he had three spare engines shipped to strategic points on his route. He used one too, if I remember right.

He'd already done an Iron Butt on a Pan... and decided it was too easy.

I’d have one, or the 800, but I’ve got a Triton.

I know it sounds unlikely, but the water cooled Norton Wankels (Wanx Nortons) were reliable high mileage bikes.
