Still my favourite bike on this thread.

Re: interesting bikes found randomly..
the discussion about the hercules was that the reed valve inlet and odd exhaust positioning was a rotary. I I get that its not like the other one pictured, I would love more info on it. if thE chamber was 90deg putting it inline? and finned without that huge air intake.

The DKW is a rotary like the Norton F1. 'Triangular' piston.

That is a Wankel, and very interesting, I wonder how they've geared the rotor to the clutch.rodbargee wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 3:52 pm Here....https://motocrossactionmag.com/bikes-yo ... 02-rotary/

So is the Hercules MX bike, the rotor is vertically above the crankcases.

Ah, ok, apologies. First glance it just looks like a normal 2t barrel at an angle.

That power and weight equates pretty much to a Z1 in 1973.Druid wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 7:59 pm750 parallel twin, 80bhp, 220kg

Re: interesting bikes found randomly..
Everything weighs 220kg these days, it's almost like most modern bikes are built to that as a target weight.
