I've got a 70s car. It's technically classic and doesn't need tax or MOT or anything, but it's more just that it's quite old. Still used as much as ever, and not usually for anything glamorous, more for chucking a load of shit in the back of. Sometimes I let it sit in the garden though to be used as a big table.

I had an Opel Manta Coupe. It was lardy but fun. Probably thought it was lardy cos really I wanted a Capri!!
My list is simple. Cars cos I don't know the makes of classic/vintage bikes (although I love them when I see them!)
1969 Midget - I think it would have to be a 1968 as I want wire wheels
And a Triumph Herald/Vitesse - want the soft top

I had two of them, I also had a Mk 2 Capri, the Manta is a much, much better car to drive, and more reliable and less rust prone.
A Manta weighs about the same as a modern Fiesta, GTEs are a claimed 140bhp, so more than a 3 litre Capri.

Driving a Capri is like taking the seat out of a normal car and sitting on the floor as far back as possible. They're alright on an open road, but horrible in built up areas

Bought one a few years back. God only knows why. It was a '74, IIRC, with round rear wheel arches (geeks know that this is quite rare as they changed them from square, to round and then back again). It was fun a for a fortnight, then I suddenly had this epiphany and thought, 'What the fuck do I want this for?'.
Flogged it on for about the same money, but having done a few bits, such as a new windscreen and brightwork.
I now keep finding myself looking at late model (Rev 4/5) Toyota MR2s. T-bar, cassette deck and pop-up lights. Hell, yeah.....

I had a Skoda estelle 130, exactly like this. Bag of shit at the time, but for character, I'd love one now. Engine in the back, wobbly gear stick and very vague steering were my memories. I was about 20 yo.
