Autonomous delivery drone. They've had 'em here in MK for a couple of years now, they also have them in a few places in a America and Estonia. I think they chose MK as a trial location 'cause it's got loads of cyclepaths/pedestrian routes. AFAIK this was the first place they fully deployed them 'in the wild' and not on an semi-closed Uni campus or similar.
They can bring you stuff from loads of Local shops, obviously they've been extremely popular since last year.
They're about knee high and can fit maybe two shopping baskets worth of stuff in.

Can Dick Turpin persuade them to stand and deliver ?Mr. Dazzle wrote: Sun Jan 24, 2021 1:20 pmAutonomous delivery drone. Re: Obligatory snow thread
Just defrosting after a 45 mile ride in the snow and ice. Glad to be back in one piece after slipping and sliding on too many occasions for my liking. Postage stamp sized contact points to icy tarmac makes for some interesting cycling. Snow wasn't due until 14:00 so it caught me out with 20 miles to get home. Should have used the smart trainer.

Made it there and back no worries. Double the mileage on the rear versus the front though, naturallyThe Martian wrote: Sun Jan 24, 2021 11:24 amHarsh.. but fairweeksy wrote: Sun Jan 24, 2021 11:23 amI wouldn't guarantee you'd make it without snow! The Martian wrote: Sun Jan 24, 2021 11:16 am We've got about 4" of snow here.
I've to go to the supermarket later today... in my rather powerful RWD carwill I make it there and back? Place your bets now!
(Can't take the Mondeo, it's got sports tyres on so won't make it off the driveway)

I like the pouch. Do you use it to carry rare herbs and crystals?

Snowed in Malibu yesterday, couple of drivers took surprise off road trips to the bottom of a canyon... I was there last Sunday, it was 85deg.
