Netflix's Death To 2020 is turning out to be quite amusing.
Its a satirical half documentary about...well... the events of 2020.

we're just getting to the end of Ozark, it's pretty good to be fair and has managed to not get too silly and unbelievable.

we're also watching Designated Survivor, again it's pretty good but....the fucking music is getting right on my wick, high suspense music all the frickin time and it gets exhausting. It's almost like they've used the music to cover over the lack of decent script writing

I might binge watch Band of Brothers.

That set the bar for a mini-series in my book, the amount of work that went into authenticity and capturing the feeling has left a lot of other stuff seeming to be poorly done.

There is loads of opportunity to make authentic stuff and it doesn't need big budgets, that drama about Dennis Neilson was very well done, I dunno if it was entirely historically accurate but it seemed to capture it.

I used to very rarely watch the TV, but since our eldest moved over here she's turned me onto a lot of half decent TV stuff.

Fairly slow burn Sci Fi but I liked it.

The award winning film The Song Of Sparrows is definitely one for the family to watch over the weekend. Funny, sad, inventive and very compassionate from master Persian film maker Majid Majidi. Superb photography. As for Tehran traffic!

Stardust Directed by Matthew Vaughn - he of Kick Ass, Kingsman, X-Men fame. Phew! Lots of outstanding CGI and SFX - filmed mainly in the U.K. I recognised a few of the places on the Isle of Skye. No matter how vivid one’s imagination I don't think a reading of Neil Gaiman’s book could strike up such vivid imagery in one’s mind as is shown in the film. The outstanding star for me was Robert De Nero. Superb acting, as could be expected.

Must admit I am getting a little tired of films with sword fights no matter how good they are.

It was kind of okay but not as fantastical or as enchanting as Pan’s Labyrinth

We're on the last season of house of cards, just after Kevin Spacey was told where to go. It can be a bit boring at times, and the lead female character Robin Wright can come across as a bit wooden, but we'll finish it, seeing as we've only got a few more episodes to watch.

After multiple recommendations, we finally sat down and started Fargo. Nearly turned it off again as soon as it started as it has Martin Freeman in, whom i can't stand! But we did watch the first episode and I got over my dislike of MF and really enjoyed it. it certainly looks promising...

I love Band of Brothers, I read the book as I was watching it and they managed to stay very true to the accounts of all the people in it. I even went to see Dick Winters' memorial when I was in Normandy a few years ago.
