I'd go as far as to say that theres very few occasions when foglights are beneficial and most times they just dazzle the fuck out of other road users.
A few years ago I was doing about 70 on the A12 and a BMW overtook me doing about 75 just as we hit patch of mist. It wasn't all that bad but I thought it prudent to knock about 10 mph off my speed, BMW driver thought it prudent to carry on at 75(ish) and put his rear fog-lights on. :D
When I was 21 I got a job as a progress chaser in a forging factory in Oldbury at the time tsr2, concorde and stuff like that was coming up. I arrived one morning (when the first or second heavy motorway fog and subsequent pile ups...to find a rep from 'oop north waiting on the doorstep...upon inquiring if he had stayed locally overnight he informed us that no, he had driven down in his 1600e this morning.
" How did you cope with the fog" Oi arksed...
"Easy...stayed in the third lane at 95"

I think sometimes they have set a minimum and the system auto rejects it.
If they set a limit its an system generated rejection. If the system submits it, then its up to the vendor to respond and that's when my piss gets boiled if they just decline?

I'm fed up with buying Abba stand fitting kits. One of them gets stuck in the side of my bike and doesn't come out when I remove the stand. Twice now I've ridden off like it and lost it - at least, that's what I think is happening. If I'm wrong it means a gremlin is sneaking in my garage and taking it, along with my 10m sockets.

Bangernomics is about spending as little as possible on vehicles, if you're spending more than a grand per year on a car, then it's not Bangernomics!!

Try a generous blob of grease in the cup, it creates enough suction that the pin stays in the cup not on the bike (same for the sleeve thing). Seems to work for me...
Tried that. Got complacent thinking it had worked and lost another. Thanks anyway

Rather argues against itself by including £29k & £33k cars, with comments of:
"Costs a lot to keep sweet but worth it"
And
" Available for hot hatch money now but costs more to run."

Perhaps not directly comparable, but I bought my Ibiza for £8.5k with 10k miles, then part-ex'd at 125k miles for £1k. One battery, services, tyres/brakes etc., but two large bills (turbo and exhaust gizmo thing).

I'm a local Handyman. Putting together a shopping list of materials to collect for next weeks work - a 16 ft timber shed been building over Christmas. Decent shed felt - no stock in local suppliers apart from ''By and Que'' but it's £8 a roll more expensive.
Site radio is on it's way out so was gonna spend my Christmas money on a new one - spent hours working out the best one - was in stock locally but this morning there's none there and supplier quotes March delivery and £40 more expensive.
Need some new Merrell boots and trainers - Sales advertised all over the place but again no stock on decent priced items bur loads of stock on boots in the ''big sale'' saving all of 2p.
Need some 2 pc throw over waterproofs for the missus - nothing fancy - for the France trip. Cock all anywhere. Will speak to Sportsbikeshop tho' - but what size to order ? ..

Everyone's saying stock delays / container at port / dunno on next delivery etc etc.

Think I'll just back to bed....

And don't get me started on the ''Covid in Wales: Beauty spots 'busy' despite lockdown rules'' situation.

Dyfed Powys / South Wales Police need a right talking to.

'''A court has fined people who breached Covid-19 travel rules thousands of pounds in a single day.

Magistrates in Llanelli heard more than a dozen cases on Tuesday, imposing fines and costs of almost £10,000.

A trip from Burnley in Lancashire to the Pystill Rhaeadr waterfall in Powys on 1 June cost a 37-year-old man £800.

And a 25-year old man from Birmingham was fined £660 and ordered to pay £85 in costs after visiting the beach in Aberystwyth in May.

People across the UK were told to stay at home as schools and businesses closed during the first lockdown announced in March.''

May and June ??? WTF is going on.

On the spot fines - no pay and impound the car and u can walk home.

Based on my limited knowledge, it would appear that these cases were deemed serious enough to warrant not to get Fixed Penalty Notices which tend to get turned around either on the spot by the police officer issuing a “ticket” or in bulk by the magistrates courts and issued via the post.

Those that don’t pay, fail the attitude test or as above would end up in court, several weeks later, and result in higher fines, costs and victim surcharges.

Which bit BYP?

The Law itself?
The Police who have to enforce said law?
The courts who impose the fines etc?
The stupid people who believe they can pick and choose which law they will comply with and then whinge when they get found guilty and fined?
