When I was 21 I got a job as a progress chaser in a forging factory in Oldbury at the time tsr2, concorde and stuff like that was coming up. I arrived one morning (when the first or second heavy motorway fog and subsequent pile ups...to find a rep from 'oop north waiting on the doorstep...upon inquiring if he had stayed locally overnight he informed us that no, he had driven down in his 1600e this morning.Saga Lout wrote: ↑Fri Jan 01, 2021 6:17 pmA few years ago I was doing about 70 on the A12 and a BMW overtook me doing about 75 just as we hit patch of mist. It wasn't all that bad but I thought it prudent to knock about 10 mph off my speed, BMW driver thought it prudent to carry on at 75(ish) and put his rear fog-lights on.demographic wrote: ↑Fri Jan 01, 2021 6:04 pm People who have to put their rear foglights on when its just raining then pull in so close in front as they pass on the motorway that they damn nearly take my front wing off and I have to knock the wipers up a notch.
I'd go as far as to say that theres very few occasions when foglights are beneficial and most times they just dazzle the fuck out of other road users.
" How did you cope with the fog" Oi arksed...
"Easy...stayed in the third lane at 95"
