SOmeone was chatting on PB forum and pointed out one of these little things.

So that's on it's way :)
Lol, you can't keep your money in your pocket can you.
Looks ace though.
My boy is enjoying it, i'm enjoying time with him on lockdown. I'd have spent more than the £70 in petrol and shopping this week if we were allowed out, so it's not really an issue.

I'm not knocking you mate, I've been on Amazon and various sites trying to buy a Hornet after reading this, but no one will post to here :(
If my new little one is my lads preference, I'll sell you the grasshopper :)

I don't know if you have seen my Gipsy build in the Shed but I found one fitted
to an R/C TRUCK.

First minor mechanical today "Daddy, this doesn't sound right when going backwards"

Quick peek and the engine/motor was loose.

Sadly it was an engine out jobbie to get to the 2 bolts and tighten them up... Only 10-15 mins but wasn't too complex.

Quickly sorted and back up and running :)

The boy is loving it, which is what it's main purpose was really. So I'm happy.

I'm absolutely rubbish at driving compared to him.

That is always the case. My son could fly his remote helicopter with great ease. I could only ever crash it.... sadly it is missing a gimble for the rotor and not in stock anymore and he has moved onto other things now.

Very cool!
My lad is a little bit older so I bought one of these for him in the lockdown to build. Supposed to take about 10 hours, which is about right if you spray it etc.

not massively, just something to pass time and a bit of bonding for me and the lad. It's just some fun entertainment for the 2 of us :)

Does the Grasshopper still come with a 380 motor or is it now a 540? I had in one the 80’s and it had the 380 motor. It was so slow compared to mates Hornets it was untrue!
Moved to a Hotshot. They were ace!
Now running a Neo Scorcher with a few hop ups. Updated suspension and steering (the blue ally bits). Just changed the stock 540 for an HPI 15t motor today. Ran well but needs to bed in.
Was going to put photo up but they’re upside down for some reason?!
Ducati Monster 821 in yellow. As god intended.
