NBT: I've bought a Honda!

It's now 6 years old, 19,500 miles, new brake pads fitted today, old ones has about 0.5mm of pad material left and had started to make a slight noise.

You bought the Homda around the same time as I bought my Zed,we've covered similar miles (26k for me) and changed the front pads at the same time.

It doesn't mean we're engaged or anything.

It's your age. Sometimes excitement allows a little to escape,then those pads do their job.

That's because you're only fast in a straight line and brake really hard for the corners then trickle round them just off vertical

I've still got loads of pad left on mine at 11k and they are the originals. Either pads are lasting longer or I'm not riding like as much of a tit as I used to! Keep toying with the idea of switching to Brembo SA road pads to try and get some extra bite/feel, but the OE breaks aren't terrible, just not great and the Brembo are £48 a side. So yeah not bothered yet.

Actually that's a good about bikes of old. Until I was 30 I'd only keep a bike for 18 months or so.

Been out this morning, mileage is now 20002, which is nicely symmetrical.
