A while back you mentioned that you had a jacket/gilet that you filled with water and the evaporation of the water kept you cool for an hour or so, but you couldn't remember the make and model. I'm guessing you have it with you for this adventure even though it hasn't been needed yet. Can you tell me the make and model?
It is in the panniers at the moment. When I finish this pint I will go and look for you.
My bad, I promised to do it ages ago and forgot.
Make is Techniche, based in California. Think I bought it from Amazon, but might have been e bay. Lots of copy cat stuff available now but at the time it was the only game in town.

Day off today. Weather is iffy, started wet, dried up, then drizzle, now pissing down. WiFi is crap too. The only thing to do is drink, so I am.

It's holiday time,you're allowed.
I know I am allowed. It is just my effing luck that while the UK and probably much of Europe is enjoying sunshine , I chose an area which appears to have a circulating mass of shitty unseasonable weather locked in place.
I could drink at home, at a fraction of the cost and avoid the cold wet bit.
Harrumph !
Still failing. Won't upload directly, uploads to Quick IB are also refusing to load.

Drown us with photos when you get back !! Enjoy the trip
Life is for living. Buy the shoes. Eat the cake. Ride the bikes. Just, ride the bikes!!
Done the Transalpina. None of my photos would do it justice, just hairpin after hairpin for what must have been 50 miles. Only issues were a donkey jam on one hairpin and an elderly and very sick diesel that couldn't make the gradient. Last seen turning back and emitting massive clouds of black smoke.
