Quite possibly snd it certainly has the internet detectives on X discussing it! I digitised a lot of The Illustrated London News which were full of Doctors advertising cigarettes! So it wouldn’t surprise me if Mr Cig was real!

My grandmother was advised by her doctor to take up smoking 'for her nerves', so the sentiment is certainly legitimate.

Yup. Just along from there is the river outlet. Council diggers took the beach away to let the water out.
