There again, as you can't use an engrish one in Wales, and maybe vice versa, it ain't gonna be much use in the land of the not very free.

We were there several years ago, twice, on bike trips with VFR NZ, now sadly closed. Brilliant on a bike, but Mrs W has hip problems and can’t get on/off any more which is a great shame. Still looking forward to it tho a car won’t be the same.
We didn’t want to do it in a motorhome. One of the most enjoyable bits of our previous trips was staying in random bnb’s, meeting with local people who were SO friendly and hospitable - eating with them, sometimes joining in their social stuff, lending us their cars so we didn’t have to do all our sightseeing in bikey gear etc. Special. In a MH, the only people you actually meet are the holidaymakers in the next MH. No comparison. And MHs aren’t a cheap option.Dodgy69 wrote: Wed Mar 19, 2025 7:04 pmWossname wrote: Wed Mar 19, 2025 5:40 pm Waiting in departures for our flight to Auckland. 3 weeks on North Island. Mate of mine went over last year, hired a motorhome for 6 weeks. A mobile hotel in lovely surroundings.![]()
I'd never thought of it that way. I'd always loved campers.Wossname wrote: Wed Mar 19, 2025 7:36 pmWe didn’t want to do it in a motorhome.
