Kinda, it was his GoPro hitting a rock and punching it's way through his helmet. (so I heard)
Would he have been un harmed without the GoPro, unlikely IMO

I reckon the Gopro would do more harm than a bumbag.Jody wrote: Sat Jan 11, 2025 3:48 pmKinda, it was his GoPro hitting a rock and punching it's way through his helmet. (so I heard)

I heard it was the way it was attached, something like a bolt through the shell.
Hence why 22.06 requires that accessories attached to helmets are also 22.06 certified.
With a likely increase in the price of intercoms, etc. Apart from a couple of oddities, I don't think I've seen any of the mainstream manufacturers advertising 'combined tested' camerasMrLongbeard wrote: Sat Jan 11, 2025 5:04 pmHence why 22.06 requires that accessories attached to helmets are also 22.06 certified.
I'm experimenting with different set ups. I definitely not settled on the top of the head mount as the angle is wrong. I'm not keen on a chest mount as it restricts access to all my pockets. I tried it strapped to my front knee yesterday, but it's still not great.......Felix wrote: Mon Jan 13, 2025 12:55 am Sod the safety aspect just now. I just think the camera should never be on the head. More so in a motorbike as you move to much making the video look shit as you turn your head looking at mirrors, junctions, looking back or potholes etc. On the bike i think its best fixed to an area that does not move with the bars. Not a great deal you can do in Jody's case but i am sure there must be a part of the body that moves a lot less than the nodding nut as you video did nothing for me apart from being jealous of having thick snow to play in/on

Get her done Ian.
I had them in a few Suzuki tool kits.Skub wrote: Thu Jan 16, 2025 5:42 pm I was looking for other stuff in the garage yesterday and I found this old set of slip joint pliers from my 74 Z1A in a drawer.
I'm reliably informed they are also part of some triples toolkits up to 1975. Because some collectors have to have things like this, they are apparently sought after items and as such often sell for up to £100.
