There is some go pro footage which, will one day be posted, but honestly. It doesn't come close to showing how effing cool it was.
Wasn't it the helmet GoPro that fucked Michael Schumacher.
Kinda, it was his GoPro hitting a rock and punching it's way through his helmet. (so I heard)
Would he have been un harmed without the GoPro, unlikely IMO

I reckon the Gopro would do more harm than a bumbag.

I heard it was the way it was attached, something like a bolt through the shell.

If so, you can work out the rest :(

Safety Testing of Helmet-Mounted Cameras
Published: Nov 2018 PPR759

Have you ever mounted a camera (e.g. GoPro) to your helmet and wondered if it was safe to do so? During the summer of 2015, BBC Safety commissioned the Transport Research Laboratory (TRL) to investigate the potential effects that mounting a camera may have on the safety performance of helmets. A range of commonly used climbing helmet types were tested (hardshell, hybrid and EPS foam). The cameras were mounted at the front, side and top of these helmets using either sticky mounts or straps. The testing protocol was principally based on that in BS EN12492:2012 (the safety standard which all climbing helmets are required to meet to enable their sale within the EU), BS EN1078:2012 (the equivalent safety standard for helmets sold to cyclists and skateboarders) and EU Regulation 22.05 (the equivalent safety standard for motorcycle helmets). These standards helped define a protocol for measuring energy transference to the ‘head’ during standardised impact challenges and set the level above which the helmet would be considered to have failed the test. Further injury thresholds, defining a >50% chance of either a fracture to the skull or loss of consciousness for less than 1hr, were also identified from scientific literature to provide further comparison. The results of this project indicated that all climbing helmet-mounted camera configurations investigated by this project may be mounted to all three helmet models, and at all three impact locations, without increasing the risks of head injury beyond current legislative performance requirements or published injury thresholds. It must be noted, however, that these results are valid only for the impact configurations investigated by this project and that variables of helmet fit, size, weight, the angle of impact and the energy of an object strike or fall can all affect the end result. TRL recommend that further testing should always be performed to establish the effects of any helmet-mounted aftermarket products that do not correspond with those already evaluated in this project and advise that activity-specific risk assessments are always performed.

Hence why 22.06 requires that accessories attached to helmets are also 22.06 certified.

With a likely increase in the price of intercoms, etc. Apart from a couple of oddities, I don't think I've seen any of the mainstream manufacturers advertising 'combined tested' cameras

Although it would rely on a very savvy / bored / pissed off copper to actually nick someone.

Sod the safety aspect just now. I just think the camera should never be on the head. More so in a motorbike as you move to much making the video look shit as you turn your head looking at mirrors, junctions, looking back or potholes etc. On the bike i think its best fixed to an area that does not move with the bars. Not a great deal you can do in Jody's case but i am sure there must be a part of the body that moves a lot less than the nodding nut as you video did nothing for me apart from being jealous of having thick snow to play in/on

I'm experimenting with different set ups. I definitely not settled on the top of the head mount as the angle is wrong. I'm not keen on a chest mount as it restricts access to all my pockets. I tried it strapped to my front knee yesterday, but it's still not great.......

I was looking for other stuff in the garage yesterday and I found this old set of slip joint pliers from my 74 Z1A in a drawer.

I'm reliably informed they are also part of some triples toolkits up to 1975. Because some collectors have to have things like this, they are apparently sought after items and as such often sell for up to £100.

For a bit of bent pig iron? Folk are clean mad.

I think mine are Yamaha, I have a few Yamaha toolkit spanners too. Best guess is they came from my POS XS250.

Football.

Yeah, yeah, yeah you dont like it. Poof ball Blah, blah, blah But......

Man U tonight were as usual, utter shite what is a shame as i am a closet fan. The young lad Amad Diallo could not kick a tin can into the gutter. It was like he had two left club feet. Game was looking like a 1 - 0 loss and boom. Amad Diallo must have been giving a line of coke and snorted it high up into his brain. Think he got a hat-trick in 12 minutes what may not be a record but its a glimmer of hope for what once was a fantastic team

Found a shop in a nearby village that does roast chickens and proper Canarian dishes and tapas.
We spent €40 and tried a bit of everything
The chicken was the best I've ever had and the bits of tapas that we've tried so far were magical.

The stuff they serve the tourists in town is not a patch on local stuff.
We have a few fave tapas bars to drive to for lunch.

Some of the tapas prices in town are more than a nice meal for each one.

Not so much makes me happy as made me howl with laughter!!

I’d been talking to my physio about the car and the hot seats (and other hot gadgets!!).

Anyway, at the end of the session we went to the gym for him to show me an exercise which involve lying on the floor and using a roller thingy under shoulders/spine to try to help release some tight areas

I said - you know if I get down on the mat I don’t know if I can get up again

His reply - don’t worry, it won’t eat yr bum

😳😳🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

By the time I lost control and started laughing out loud, I finally realised he meant “it won’t HEAT your bum” like the car seat! 🤣🤣

I was crying with laughter. Finally explained to him that he really needed to use the H!!

Got my own back cos he laughed at me loads when I was learning French - to the point that I only speak english with him now 🤣🤣🤣
Life is for living. Buy the shoes. Eat the cake. Ride the bikes. Just, ride the bikes!! :bblonde:
