Trick with those is to stick a 5p in them That'll then close it fully.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 8:06 pm By 'adjusting valve' I think you might be referring to a thermostatic valve?
It might have an off position. It might only have a frost protection position which still lets a bit of water through.

'иo work to-morrow'
An image by American photographer Russell Lee, who died on this day, August 28th, 1986.
Lee is best known for his work documenting America's great depression whilst working for the US Government's 'Farm Securities Administration'
The FSA employed dozens of the US's best know photographers in what became the largest photographic project commissioned by the US.
Lee went on to cover the mining industry in the US in a project for the 'Department of the Interior' producing a folio of over 4,000 images documenting the miners working conditions, housing, families, and health issues.
The image featured here shows miners at the Clover Gap mine in Kentucky returning their safety tokens at the end of a shift underground in 1946 - and at the same time learning that there is 'иo work tomorrow' (sic)
As with all photographers employed by the FSA & DOI in the US his works are in the public domain, allowing us to enjoy his unique record.
You can see more examples of his work here: https://www.amber-online.com/coll.../ru ... ollection/

This is why I want a micro digger:
My garden is either that or peat you can cut with a tairsgeir. That's a peat iron to you sassanachs.

Boy Jumping into Hudson River, NYC, 1948
Remembering the late Ruth Orkin, photographer and who was born on this day, September 3rd, in 1921.
Orkin had an impressive story, from receiving her first camera at the age of 10, to cycling across America at the age of 17, documenting American life as she went, and onward to an impressive career.
You can see more of her work here, as well as reading her life story.
