Boxing seems an odd one for this to be problem in, it's the sport that has the most categories based on size and weight afaik. They just need more and varied categories.

Caveat: I know very little about boxing and have no desire to find out.

I'm not watching any of the rest of the Olympics either, it's interesting as a sociological thing though.

They want to find contestants who can punch hard for their weight, avoid getting punched and win matches. I think that’s the point of the game.

The problem here is they have set up a separate category for women, but some creeps are trying to get men into it.

Makes sense. Lifting those pieces from one square to another is very demanding in a physical sense, and those poor little women's feeble brains wouldn't be able to cope with the concept...

How do you know? Serious question. There is such a thing as hyper-androgyny and while the IBA banned her/him/they/it from women's boxing, they were (somewhat ironically) ambiguous over their determination, merely suggesting "not for reasons of excess testosterone". Then of course the IBA are somewhat less than reputable. The IOC are also not being forthcoming.

For me it's a moot point. I honestly don't care if this person is male or female. I don't think women should be fighting each other in the first place. Period.

Self defence yes. Skills based combat sports yes. Attempting to deliberately hurt women with overt physical violence in full-contact boxing/MMA, no.

Why should men be allowed to beat eachother but not women ?

I'm not for or against it either way, i don't much care. But i'm curious as to why there's a difference .
