I'd not seen it without the rear cowl before - for some reason I'd imagined it would be less similar to the regular XSR seat.

Me too- I think most of the versions of the MT09/XSR900 look gangly at best , and the earlier MT09s positively hideous, but I quite like that, and would take it over the GP
Fairings are for wimps anyway and as much use as an ashtray on a windscreen, or something like that

@Potter go ride one, only way to tell. TBH there are few crap bikes now, they are all pretty good. But it's got to talk to you if you wanna own it. Mags can tell you so much but it's whether it lights your fire, not someone else's.

Not necessarily average in the strict sense, just not special. Certainly you can spend less on a bike, but it's very easy to spend 15k now and not receive a low run bike dripping in Öhlins and carbon fibre.

I quite like it in those pic's, GP. What other colours are there. ? Anything above 50hp I'd imagine is plenty for our roads these day's. I think my brand new bike buying day's are behind me, considering they're sat in the garage most of their lives. It's all got a bit expensive for the time I spend with them.

That's why i can self-justify bicycles so easily... There's very few days in a given month i won't be on a bicycle. Last day i didn't ride was Sunday, before that it was the Tues before.

There's an early EXUP in the bike shed at work today, it looks massively better than this thing, buy an EXUP and throw money at it.

QS and Blipper definitely add to the fun factor, which bike's are all about. This GP is probably the answer to what many have been asking for. The 900 triple in a more sporty bike.
I still see plenty of sports bike's about, so they still sell. Some don't want the MT10 power and the 900 is just about right. I reckon anyway.

The only aid I want is ABS. It will save me if things go wrong on wet/dirty roads. Not had it kick in yet.
TC is turned off in mine. I want to ride it and feel my skills.
Where's the skill on track just opening the throttle?
I want to use my skill to unleash the 200 gee gees. I might lose a second or 2 a lap, but using my skills makes me smile.
If I couldn't turn it off, I'd sell it.
