....However, in reality, this is more 'us'. This is the missus 'touching rock', safely roped and I don't know where she put her silver topped cane, maybe it's telescopic.

We have a saying in our family, first coined by our daughter when she was about 4, referring to something a bit gruesome or scary. “That makes my bum feel funny!” That’s what those pics do to me!

I don't climb, but I love a scramble - Tryfan is my favourite mountain - this is me!Count Steer wrote: Tue Apr 09, 2024 9:36 am ....and finally...![]()

Echoing others' comments, fuck that for a game of soldiers.

Did the Adam and Eve thing too, but Sunny's got better knees than me.
Rummaging through the pix archive I found this. Look at the big air! The mud on the bike! How far behind the next bloke is!

That was the only time I've been up there when the weather conditions have been perfect for the jump - compare the outfit to my cannon photo

Re: utterly random picture thread.
I think Tryfan was the best weather day of the week iirc. Got a few pix of us all huddled in a bothy bag for lunches out of the weather on other days. Had to do a trek out to a valley and camp for a night navigation exercise too....fortunately the wind and rain had eased up then too.Sunny wrote: Tue Apr 09, 2024 2:29 pm That was the only time I've been up there when the weather conditions have been perfect for the jump - compare the outfit to my cannon photo

Thanks for that! I was hoping someone who knew would chip in. That makes sense, as pic 2 was taken first and I was heading down that lovely sinuous piece of road towards the Loch (Maree, as I now know it to be).Treadeager wrote: Mon Apr 08, 2024 9:12 pm 1st pic is Slioch ( Loch Maree ) looking back up to Kinlochewe . 2nd is Glen Doherty , looking down to Kinlochewe and Loch Maree![]()
