I joined VD in 2001 at the tender age of 21. I suspect I was ridiculous and annoying

20+ years on its interesting to see how much some people have changed/mellowed - which is lovely. Much like in the days of VD/TRC when meeting the likes of Weeksy, Docca, and Muz in real life meant discovering that they were nothing like the keyboard warriors they purported to be back then 😊

(With that in mind I suppose it's also mildly disappointing to see how much a couple of people haven't (I suspect a certain Yorkshire ex-pat will still have me blocked because of who I'm married to, for example 🤦))

You got married and didn't invite me.

Am hurt.

VD caused a few marriages and divorces.

Does that mean congratulations are in order? Remember that you were religious, does that mean you have taken the step?

No judgement, by the way.

Indeed it did. Without Nicki and Docca I wouldn't have met and married Mrs Weeksy

Indeed. I am a Priest in the Church of England. Have a benefice in Northfleet Kent. Lovely area, some nice roads to ride nearby and much more.

Wasn't there a young lad who stuck a CR500,or KX500 in a 125 frame? I think he was killed on it later.
SM Spike, and it was a 50 frame. EVERYBODY told him it was a bad idea.
There's pushing the envelope, and then rank stupidity. Sadly cost him dearly.
I was thinking about Supermotospike earlier. Someone mentioned Storm, I think he was a Guardsman, killed on Chelsea Bridge Road. There was Jim in Hong Kong, he was a proper character. There's been a few others.
There used to be a 'roll call for the fallen' now we have the roll call for those that have <that sotto voce, serious voice> 'had a fall'</tsvsv>

I've been littleredrooster since the MCN forums, UKGSer, VD, TRC and here. I went on Queenie's rideout and a few of Abel's rideouts (most notably when my hungover mate binned a bike near Market Harborough). What's Queen Bodicea (Boudicca?) up to now? Did she move the IoM?

I've met some interesting (!) characters from the various forums over the years and look back with some affection to the experiences - and I'm still here FFS!!

Anyone remember TheSanguine from the MCN days? What a ...erm... strongly opinionated git he was!

I was on there years ago, took a long break from riding but now thinking of getting back into it.
Surprised to see a reference to VD was a long time ago!

One of my favourite threads ever on VD was “ I want to join the Hells Angels, how do I do it”
